  1. my first ferrets were housed in the old rabbit hutch, and their first meal was the rabbit that used to live in there, no word of a lie
  2. i would deffo save up for a locator. when i first started out i thought i dont need a locator, my ferret wont kill etc, but i wouldnt dream of putting my best jills down a hole without one on. a good ferret is worth its weight in gold so look after them. try to get the best working ferrets you can get, iv had some shit ones before and its worthless looking after them.
  3. get some more whacked under her
  4. mine cost very little if anything to feed. but i do have the use of a large freezer for dog/ferret food. they have any chickens that i cull as im breed them, rabbits, crows, and im also lucky to have a couple of very good friends who give me spare rabbits etc if their freezer is full. also look out for roadkill! can be done almost for free if you have a large enough freezer. good luck
  5. have you any pics when they were about 3 weekish vin? i have some similar but just thought they were light polecat? after seeing these im begining to think they are silvers. atb
  6. i have a a small/medium sized rabbit skin that sis just dried and laid flat if thats any good.
  7. You put the bitches litter brother over her? Why do people inbreed its wrong. Anawer me this question would you sh*g one of you own and the answer is? alot of good dogs have been produced from in-breeding mate. What like the british bulldog the pug the shih tzu the boxer with their flat faces all inbred for the type and you telling me inbreeding is ok you both been reading plummer books. you dont know what you are talking about. in certain situations and only for a limited number of generations inbreeding can be used to bring out and strengthen certain traits in dogs, fowl, etc. pug

  9. says you cant recieve any new messages mate
  10. why they in a cardboard box? be careful with that they cant get a grip on the slippery surface
  11. want to sell a mk1 collar? you only need your mk3 collars as they work with mk1 box???
  12. a proper ferret will be all you will ever need!
  13. i picked a polecat mitt out of a litter purely as i liked the look of it, the parents worked. its now a very very good ferret. coincidence, you cant tell what your going to get out of a litter, so if the parents both work pick what you want!
  14. my hutch is almost identical to what you described. box with top opening lid, job done.
  15. "more commited, game, etc" i would think you have seen average ferrets before?
  16. if i ever walk back through the village to the house with a rabbit or after ferreting its always the elderly people that give you a smile, or a "good lad, keep at em!" its always the younger generation that dont want to make eye contact and cross the road and look at the rabbits as if they are about to cry, just shows how much better it would of been in the old days, people dont know feck all nowadays.
  17. what have you got out of peoples gardens out if interest?
  18. my pup has chew that many wooden spoons we have shares in woodland, chewed £200+ shoes, made the law look like a teabag with that many holes, pooed and wee'd on the floor that many times its unreal, kept me up all night with whining, thrown up on the sofa about 6 times, ripped up duvets and rugs, ripped up a 24 pack of loo roll in the front room, and many similar things, and still not one of us in the family would consider getting rid of her. so look at yourself before you try and justify why you got rid of your dog.
