  1. i was given some cockerels for the ferrets this morning, along with a silver sussex hen with a problem on her crop. the owner said he thinks she was bitten by something, and an abcess/ ballon type puss filled ball had grown on her crop. if i can cure it i want to and i will run her on till spring to see if she goes broody. any ideas on how i go about curing this problem? do i drain the puss out or what? any ideas helpful!

  12. yes. i tried it on a small scale with goldfish, a storage tub and a cat litter tray filled with pearlite. i planned to grow peppers in this, which i started to, but i put some salad seeds in which grew and died, and the resulting dead sprouts decomposed, and filtered back through the water into the fish and killed them all. i used a small aquarium pump as the pump, with clear pipe as the pipe. was very interesting i thought, but to do be done on a serious worthwhile scale, it did smell a bit as well, the electricity cost would be an issue, and not one i think would be overcome with the resulti

  17. mine get a few rabbit heads a day at the moment, with proper meat every few days or so, they are stayling slim and fit, when fed too much before they got fat as pigs. also just necked a hen and chucked it in the hutch with my jill and 2 kits, they go mental for it, cant get fresher than that.
  18. where is this bird from? is he a pure kulang asil then?
  19. my ferrets were a bit nippy with the pup and they were 1 year old jills and it made her a bit wary of them so be careful. i just held them up to her, put them on floor together and said no when she showed interest in them really. i tried with some young kits who didnt nip her and put some confidence into the pup that they werent all nippy. she is good though there will be a rustling in the cover she'll sprint over ready to grab a rabbit and the look of disapointment in her eyes when its a ferret is funny. good luck
