  1. domestic rabbit mothers will do it if stressed or inexperienced so may be something similar.
  2. also would people know if i clipped my beddy x whippet would she grow back fluffy?
  3. i believe a decent ferret is wild apart from temperament, and mine get a diet consisting of such food a wild polecat would get, and thrive on it. worms? bullshit
  4. wouldnt trust that top wire door i think he could push out the bottom if he wanted to get a few extra bolts on, better than losing your ferret
  5. im guessing he edited the bit out everyone is giving him stick about, im guessing its about a different quarry
  6. i gut rabbits but thats it... i even feed them big old chickens with the guts in and they eat every last scrap of it
  7. i think the ferrets will get that wire off soonish with those little stapels.... get some proper staples or but a wooden batton round the wire... and that wire door is pretty bad they will be out of there quick get a decent wooden frames wire door on it
  8. were they young birds or your broodstock?
  9. i freeze the bags on a tray not touching each other then store together when frozen, only viable if small amount though. if the bags arent greasy or moist on the outside they dont stick together at all really.
  10. wish i could get em for £20p anything from £3 to £10 round here at auction, depending on whos buying them, the bunny hugging lesbian battery hen freedom fighters are depriving my ferrets and dog of decent food
  11. mine do the same as you, burst the bag, i try and wash them all off she eats the odd one obviously as they are tiny, shes fine and no sign of worms or deteroration in health.
  12. Hahahahaha, And I see what your saying abel, but do you not think that hen hatched chicks that are roaming with their mothers grow better and faster? Cheers. .....what do you mean ? times tables and spelling etc ? from what i have seen compared to my own incubator hatched chicks, not always.
  13. in hindsight i do suppose that question was a little silly. but i think a good bird should be able to do quadratic equations and algera to make it a worthy hen
  14. there is high places round here where the rabbits live in the reeds/grass full time. guess they dont feel that pressured, and the ground is very rocky. they have the odd burrow here and there for emergencies though

  17. is that the cattle pour on or something different?
  18. my pup was on just dry food, she never thrived on it, just survived. she was too skinny for me, but the meat along with good excercise has put her in very good condition. i think its good for them to have a meal as well, not picking from a bowl now and then. and crunching bones, etc is stimulatiing and gets them working and less bored.
  19. i pull crop out and sling it to the hens if the pigeon has a crop full of grain dont need to worty about lead either, mine get shotgunned quarry and they have been fine.
  20. it would have to be a good hen for me to do that, or the ferrets would be munching on that prolapse how do they perform in laying terms after suffering one? i know sheep are prone to it a lot even after its been stitched up.
  21. get a pipette/ eye dropper, and put a drop under each wing, a drop at the top of there a**se hole, and a drop at the base of the neck between the wings if that makes sence, make sure you apply it to the skin not the feathers. it kills mite by absorbing it into the blood, and as the mites and lice bite the fowl, it kills them, simples!!! is that for the desosect or ivomec mate? cheers
  22. i had a jill that was almost a year old before she showed any interest, then one time it just clicked, she went down and she bottled up a rabbit and tore half its back off, but then her sister was straight down the first time out, so dont be too disheartened if they dont perform first time.
