    Spring ???

nice pics arry, by the calendar here it is officially classed as spring today, but in reality we don't plant any veg in the garden until the second week in may, last year we put the runners/carrots etc. in, in the beginning of may and lost the lot with a big frost...it's also hard to prepare the veggy garden before hand as the ground is still frozen, my wife starts things off early in the potting greenhouse to get a head start which has worked out best....
  4. good drawing bud....you can download an app (free) for grid references which is quite good to keep your drawing accurate, download it to your phone, then pull up the pic you want to draw, then apply the grid to it, lightly, draw the grid out on paper, then draw your pic to scale, keep up the good work bud.....

  8. i know what you mean bud, England will always be my home, you have done well for yourself bud... having a few bases is your reward now, but for me it's the freedom i can have without anyone telling me i can't do that....lol...fishing, hunting, motorbikes, side by sides, building etc. etc.... a while ago i was offered a big brand new 3-4 bed house, developed basement with games room, cinema room, with deer hunting cabin, open land and woods, brand new big workshop 2 story high, a small house, on 200 acres for $500,000 (£290,000), it's probably gone up a bit now, but that's how much i coul
  9. thanks bud, i'm no pro though....lol yes, that's why your epoxy is running, if you don't have a drying machine you would have to sit there for half an hour to keep turning it then every 10 mins after that until it's set enough to be left....with the rod in the drying machine you can do a light coat to let the tread soak the epoxy then after 10-15 mins or when tacky (not dry) add the top coat to give it that high build, or there are some who put there high build on in one hit, after that keep an eye on it because it can still sink into your thread, if that does happen you can take a lighte

  13. funny you saying that mate, i get the same feeling looking back, i think when you step away and see how the area you come from has changed and the way you are living now it really opens your eyes....making that break to move away has done us the power of good, i wouldn't want to be anywhere else than here right now bud....
  14. and not in America either, to many regulations which will push the price way up there....these are made for Thailand at the moment.....
  15. I've been building an older carp rod that got broken when moving...it started out at 12ft an now it's 9"3' i stripped it clean and repositioned the eyes an made a lure/spinning rod from it....luckily the break was to the but end.....the pic quality isn't that good, i have a few rods to rebuild so i will epoxy them all together....

  17. i didn't know what a daiwoo matiz was, so i had to look it up....now i can laugh with you....lol
  18. i was talking to my mate last night, and he was telling me that he went out in his mates tesla like the one your saying about, he said he hasn't been in or on anything so quick, it was 0-60 in under 2 sec (like you say) he said it was the equivalent of 800-1000 hp....

  21. i think it was a good year in most places Mack, we had loads of garters here, we have them in our potting shed, we often found there shedded skins up to 2ft long, my wife put her hand in a bag of compost and there was 3 of them curled up in there...lol, i also saw a hawk fly over with a snake hanging from it's claws....i looked up that rattle snake as i didn't know that they existed here, like you say, they are really rare nowadays and on the endangered list, i saw program along time ago, this girl kept some sought of deadly venomous snakes and amongst others as well, if i remember right she g
  22. snakes are not my thing i can't see the attraction in keeping them, i'd rather turn that thing into to a pair of shoes, a jacket or a handbag....it's beyond me why people keep these really big pythons...also spiders like tarantula's....
  23. there are many makes here bud, it's the land of toys here...lol, quad wise there's the usual, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, artic cat, also Polaris, and can-am's and also them trike bikes...i also see quite a few banshee's all tricked up which look and sound very good, over here there are rakes of trails that you can ride quads, side by sides, street and trail, and motor cross bike which does bump the prices up of the vehicles as they all have a lot of uses, snowmobile wise there's Yamaha, Polaris, can-am, artic cat, skidoo, bombardier, they are every where, snowmobiles here are really fast
