  1. Hello, got one myself for one of my rim fires but with AMX recital, quite a long scope and not exactly light either, I find it a good day scope with a fine recital, I tried it with my Nitesite Wolf and found it didn't performed all that well compared to other scope I have exactly why I'm not sure, overall my opinion is a good scope for day use I would not recommended for attaching a night vision camera to though.
  2. Keep it simple mate strait out of tin ,I dont bother cleaning barrel unless i see a noticeable difference to grouping, my ultra likes air Arms Field best, I do prefer using a softer heaver pellet find the heaver pellet suits all situations best. I fill to 200 bar and find that the second round of ten through crono gives most consistent results in velocity, to get best consistency in velocity best get gun regulated.
  3. Used light loads of steel for a couple of years now through 3/4 with no problems even checked with coke gauge and internal micrometre absolute no movement in choke spec so I'm happy carrying on with steel through this coke the gun is a Hatsan Escort, use steel because I sell onto people with hawks helps cover cost of carts.
  4. I use 3/4 in semi for cheapo 24g steel on pigeons I find it gives a suitable pattern over mid range. general use 1/4-1/2 is ideal all rounder in o/u,3/4 or full for fox or geese.
  5. I got night vision on air rifle or rimfire if you need help can account for some good numbers, I live in Worksop pm if you want help.
  6. Cz 452 .22 the ultimate bunny basher, I also have same rifle in .17 hmr much prefer .22 for bunny bashing though.
  7. Just check that your barrel is not touching your forstock it should be free floating, run some paper down and check,I had a cz that was touching and grouping was very bad.
  8. Is there any lurcher racing on this year,ha just looking for an excuse to pay that ridiculous £30.
  9. I noticed the odd crack when using remington's my cz didn't like them also the grouping wasn't consistent so i stopped using them,i now use only winchesters. With what you describe i would imagine the grouping is very inconsistent.
  10. I find the 17 HMR useful when you got purely a job to do clearing rabbits at distances from near to far you don't want mess about not taking into account ammo costs then this is the tool to take along.Purely from a sporting point of view I enjoy shooting my .22lr most of all.
  11. I have a cz 452 varmint very accurate long distance rabbit round and I tend to use it for that purpose only,I generally use my .22lr for rabbit control.
  12. I ordered one as a trail from Solway feeders have I ordered ok.
  13. Hi all, just been looking on the for sale section there a chap on there selling 116 traps, but another chap said that they are fakes from China and not fit for purpose, the photo is no longer available to see, as I am thinking of acquiring a few more of these traps does any one have a photo comparison of these traps so myself or others can tell them apart.
  14. Thank you, going to try out a 116 on mink,I was looking at some vids and thought that the 110 / 116 looked very similar in size.
  15. Is there a difference in size between these two traps, or is it the spring power strength thank you.
  16. Just be honest on application, yes there a bit more particular with fac and you need two referees to vouch for your character, most people worry about being refused but i'm sure if they granted you shotgun then you should ok with fac application provided that you have good reason to own a rifle and have the land and permission to shoot on, and it has been passed for that calibre rifle you are acquiring, good luck.
  17. I've always been a BASC member but will be seriously considering a change next year.
  18. Hello Daz, a baited area with a trail cam left out for a few days will give you the time when Charley appears, will save you time waiting.
  19. About as much as you want to pay for it, as a display peace.
  20. Hello hutghey,it not the case for pushing rimy to 300 yrds we all know thats to far,the extra distance is useful for finding and identifying your targeted quarry. But you do need ir that goes to at least 150 yrds for hmr.
  21. Hello rodp, not sure if that's right or wrong, was wonder same thing myself but my unit the Wolf pushes out to 300 and a bit further in good conditions and to buy an extra eliminator that can push ir out well past 300 would cost a fair amount of money unless some person can correct me.I find that at about 300yrds it is adequate for rimfire shooting. The nightsite range does have pin sharp clarity but at end of day its all about set up (scope) and conditions that determine your visual experience,in my opinion every body has there own preference when it comes to night vision.P/s the Wolf has thre
  22. Hello there airbourne,I am using Nightsite Wolf had it for some time now taking bunnys to 145yrds easily with .17hmr using a Airmax 30 scope shooting at 8x clear sight picture at 145yrds can see easy 300yds depending on conditions, for a .17hmr go for the Wolf you need that extra range with ir at night.I find that at lower magnifications you get a better clearer wider range of vision, at the higher mags field of view narrows and less light gets back through scope.Good luck with your choice, just one point which I didn't realize when I purchased mine was that if you need glasses to read with then
