    Just my opinion, and it is only an opinion, but the most a kid should have to do is dial 999 on the mobile for an old dear having a clutcher......I bet at this moment in time the stab kit is on the front seat of every paramedic wagon in the land and they are dealing with more than we know.

    Fair play, my point is, we shouldn’t be thinking it’s handy in case they have to sort a catastrophic bleed.....I don’t know if you have ever seen how much blood comes out of the human body with a massive and catastrophic wound but it’s a lot......and I mean a lot.     Why should it bother me mate?.....he was a decent lad, all the guards out of that station and the other ones dotted around are good lads. How the f**k have we reached a point where we can justifiably normalise in our mind having to teach children (for teenagers are still children) how to administer first aid for anything let alone catastrophic bleeds caused most likely by stab wounds ? This is the legacy of everything up to this point......never mind BLM, if shit like that don’t make us say “we have to stop, we have to change this” then nothing will I don’t want my kids growing up in a place where that is considered normal...

    Funeral is Sunday mate in Charlestown, it’s big deal round here because he was well known and well liked. Our local guards are really, really decent lads mate.

    Well, on the subject of paying respects..... I am just back from my local town. A local lad and Guard Detective was shot the other night by a nutcase who wrestled his gun from him and emptied the clip of 15 rounds, hitting the guard 6 times. A terrible, terrible event and you can actually feel the sadness in the air locally. I play football with a lot of these guard lads and I feel for them, I really do. They just drove his coffin through the town in a motorcade and the whole town came out to show respect, a couple of thousand folks of all ages, every single shop keepe
