    Top posts fellas,that long post of Arctic's is exactly how i perceive things too..Protecting what we have is all well & good,trying to retrieve what we once had is a totally different ball game & like Arctic what i loved to hunt has all been vanquished so I'd pay a £100 a year or whatever it is if there was a group or whatever fighting for what i want ✌

    Yeah I've noticed DB ? ,it's ok promoting & protecting what we have obviously but again it's a bit like "I'm alright Jack but f**k you" ..They are making a division in OUR division that of running dogs,I've not seen anything otherwise,either that or I'm just thick ?

    Exactly what i was "trying" to put over in an earlier post DB,if it's taboo to even speak about it then surely we are never going to get anywhere in terms of a "full" repeal of the hunting legislation? From what i can make out the AWL want to promote & protect the taking of rabbits with dogs,I've not seen or heard ANYTHING other than that but i stand to be corrected if I'm wrong? At the end of the day no c**t likes us or me lol,personally i couldn't give two hoots..Sometimes it's better to walk alone than it is to follow the flock for who knows if the one at the head of the flock actually

    Tidy pups,I've always liked that Gaffer dog & word on the dog grapevine is that the dogs the real deal ? Hope they find good working homes matey oh & anyone getting one or thinking about it then get that one on the 1st pic it's gonna make a real un ✌

    The compass & arrow showing what direction & how far away the dog is should be all that's required imo..I have the Garmin setup but being honest i very rarely if ever use the map,at £450 I'd say that's very reasonable,if you work your dogs where they often can't be seen due to the terrain you really would benefit from a GPS tracking device & once used you will wonder why you never got one much sooner!!!

    Unity has never been a strong point when it comes to hunting with dogs in general,the red coated horse back hunting enthusiasts,the footpack followers of hounds were & never likely are to unite with us with running dogs,many of the hunt shows here in the land of Foxhunting folklore in Cumbria were & still are reluctant to add lurchers to their shows,why is that? You only have to look at the arguing & bickering on here to see the divisions in our own ranks.I think the Lord Jesus would have trouble uniting us,I'm a realist & don't live in a dream world,the hunting act bestowed up

    Still got the full squadron of mutts Morton lol,4 lurchers plus Ruby the Pom,still out daily with them,still feeding them,cleaning up after them,ordered new kennels for two of them so it looks like the c**ts are staying until they pop their clogs now..I went on my farewell hunting trip several weeks ago now,had an amazing day with my Boots dog & my buddy & his sidekick.I'm off hiking up Scotland this week for a couple of days,just Ruby & Don,19 years of service between them so be a pleasant couple of days in the Glen's & Mountain's with just them,hassle free & no chance of

    Many of us have been or are in the exact situation you speak of matey,personally I'd rather cull mine than rehome them if it really came down to having to make that decision but I'm a soft b*****d when it comes to dogs,I've several here that are as much use as a glass eye in the grand scheme of things the c**ts do my head in but i suppose likes been said I should be thankful of what they've given me over the years whilst they were working,I'm taking two of them away hiking for a couple of days tomoz,between them they are almost 19 but on the plus side the b*****ds "shouldn't" give me any heada

    Weather permitting i may have a stroll up one or two "smaller" summits this week,I'd of gone today as the weather is absolutely beautiful here today & forecast the same over the weekend but I've my lad to take over the North East tomoz for a new motor so may have to have to look at a longer range weather forecast..It's not the best place in the land to be up top of a mountain if the weather is shite lol

    I've just recently bred some pups out of two of my own mongrels & could very well see one or two of the offspring resembling these in the forthcoming months..Wouldn't surprise me in the least ✌

    As you age,reminiscing is about all you can do in this game,pictures,drawings etc of days & nights out are basically a diary of your life & how it once was,it's not everyone's cup of tea i know that but for others it's a must to capture the moment or have an end of day pic,I'd always say what's in the past stays in the past & it's behind us for a reason & to just look forward & to the future but when there is no future looking back is the only way to go i guess ?
