    Don't get me wrong mate the dog can gallop a bit,he's seen enough & caught a bit in the process.He is a big strong,fast dog yet he's more relaxed in his running style then what's ideal for most of the country bar the flat land,he likes the chase & i think he knows he has the staying power to run a long one,I think he'd do well there & after all I suppose that is what he is bred for.He's great on other stuff,no messing about,great hunter,fantastic jumper,traveller etc..He's just so immature & can on occasions out of the blue just do things that no one could or should have to put

    Possibly the faults I mentioned are due to the bitch mines out of Cocker? This thing is brain dead at times,I'd of culled it a fortnight ago for its antics had my lad not been at his friends funeral that day & as he bought the dog & I didn't want to make his day any worse by putting this c**t down..If it don't sort itself out the twat will be dead..Simple as that hope he turns it around fuji, he's a cracking looking dog.     No not at all,he's never ever had as much as a tweak in over 4 years until he hurt himself some 8 weeks ago when he hit a fence at full speed trying to stop his quarry,his wrist was the size of an apple,I'd never seen anything like it in my life,so the dog has been kept relatively quiet since then but he's back & been putting gear to bed of late..Just with not having his usual workload I'd put him over the top with his feed,his kidneys were overloaded with protein on my latest venture but he's absolutely flying again now after sorting that out,he's sound,in tremendous form,looks a million

    One thing I will say is no matter how good some of these coursing bred dogs are,I need a lurcher to be more than a point & slip dog which most of the "fashionable" names in the land are...I have dogs out of two coursing types those being Romeo & Razor & if I had to have another I'd bypass the Romeo blood,they can run alright,plenty of wind but the ones I know of are thick b*****ds,I mean f***ing backward,nervy types quite a lot of them too,poor jackets to name one or two faults..Never again for me,better blood out there for breeding from imo or at least there is to me,infact my own

    Caught them when beating out plantations which were fenced in,you know how they could get in a panic & then run into fencing etc & be their own worst enemy thrashing & bouncing about instead of taking a step back & popping over & away to safety..Patt took several he did back in the days of yesteryear

    Hey up bud,Boots is far from right he has other issues currently now lol,I travelled almost 700 miles inc return trip this week with him only to find out when I'd got to the running ground he was unwell,could barely walk & trying to piss constantly with not a drop of piss forthcoming & that was how he was all day,so 48 hours with no kip,14 hours of driving for jack shit lol..Anyhow what will be will be I suppose? He only has a few weeks of his working life left as I've decided after many months of deep thought I'm calling it a day in regards to hunting when the season closes it's doors
