Enjoyed reading that matey.. Fantastic night out,it's not always about what's caught by the dogs just seeing whats lurking about in the darkness ie:the Fallow Deer can make an average night a great night..It's going to be a long Spring/Summer so enjoy what's left of your season fella ✌

Amazes me that people would commit hari-kari before paying 4-500 hundred quid for a well bred pup yet they would pay £3k for night vision lol..If you ain't got the dog for the job your thermal imaging device is as much use as a bull with tits..Each to their own but christ that's an expensive toy to help aid catch a critter or two imo ✌

Glad she is settling in bud,I'm thrilled the pups ALL got wonderful homes where they will be given a chance to fulfill their potential in the months & years ahead.Socks eh lol,could only ever have been couldn't it haha,thanks for travelling well off the beaten path to collect her,we could of talked all night long about dogs had you not still had another 100 miles to drive even after almost 300 you had just done.Best of luck with young Socks Northern Rock,I know she will have the best of everything & the correct procedure regarding entering her to work..The rest is in the lap of the god

I know I've not seen eye to eye with everyone on here over the years but still I have respect for every man & woman who gets out & walks the walk in this game whether that be a friend or foe.I also just wanted to thank the people who have "liked" my posts over the years,I think I'm over 12k at my last look so cheers peeps.I've decided to hang up my slip leads for good now the season has concluded as these past years have became harder & harder each year for me to get through,my health just won't allow me to soldier on as I always have & I'm not one for half measures unfortunate

Sorry for intruding guys but do you really see any noticeable difference by using the filter? Personally I never did & found them to be more of a hindrance than an aid to catching critters

Three will be pts Ken..Fenn & Mario for sure,Don is a joy to have around,he's stress free & obedient as they come & is 8 this month so not as likely to give me a headache whilst out & about..I have a soft spot for my Boots dog but he just won't switch off,he has a wonderful temperament,100% house trained etc but as things stand it will be he who joins the others on a one way day trip.I will always be grateful to them for giving their all for me,I know I'm letting them down but I was brought up to the tune of a dogs a dog & ALWAYS has to play second fiddle,I'm putting myself

What else is there apart from dogs.And please don't say pubs. Most of them feckers in there have had 10 lives. By the amount of storys they tell. What else apart from dogs? Everything but matey or atleast I hope that to be the case,the enjoyment I once got from the dog game has gone for me,it's became a bit of a chore & a good friend of mine once told me many years ago that when it gets to the point of doing the dogs & it becoming a chore it's time to move on for this is no rehearsal in life this really is it.I've lots of things to look forward to & for the 1st time ever plans

Anyhow don't really matter about any dog to me now lol I had my final EVER days hunting over the weekend with my Romeo sapling,just mooching about & what lifted got ran,got 11 bunnies & 7 others..Was an enjoyable day,I've driven over 1200 miles in just my last two days out with the dogs in view of getting them a run..enjoy your mutts dudes,I'm gonna enjoy my "free" time from here on & do other shit instead of f***ing dogs..Take care folks ?

Waterloo Cup wouldn't have even been run yet we're it still on the go,I said almost 40 years ago running hares in March was stupid as the does are full or already have leverets on the ground but hey ho it's banned now anyways lol..Saying that I suppose the greyhounds needed things tilted slightly in their favour lol..Anyhow I'm done this season,infact that's me done full stop,my journey has reached it's end,the thrill of the chase will be no more,I've enjoyed it in the main..Hope you all enjoy your time in the fields with your dogs,run em hard & run em often..Ciao peeps ✌

All you can do is keep knocking doors bud,you will get turned away 99 times out of a hundred but even getting one may lead to getting more as the landowner will gain your trust & may put in a good word on your behalf to other local landowners..It's a soul destroying ritual knocking & been turned away but stick at it fella & I'm sure something will come of it..Good luck

How many romeo pups you saw run? Why did you take a pup off 2 parents who were soley used for coursing all their life if you wanted something more of all-rounder?I ain't for explaining myself to you fella,you catch a few odds & sods that keeps you happy fairplay & like I said earlier you'd probably think mine was a world beater but I'm not as easily pleased as are some when it comes to dogs..Simples really

This young dog has seen plenty of gear,99.9% of lurchers & their owners in this country could only dream of what he's seen & had his jaws around but like I say he or ANY of the other Romeo breds I've seen are nothing other than mediocre in my eyes,to some they may think they are world beaters & at the end of the day it's their prerogative to do so I'm just a realist & say it as it is..I had never any intention of keeping back a pup & still don't,I'm done with the game after 3 more trips out..Game Over I've earned my seat infront of the tv,done 700 miles yesterday to go run
