  1. we had a wee bedlington whippet going back 20 years ago, it was my pals, never seen a lurcher with so much drive abilty to hunt up and catch game on its own, would drive cover like a springer, was dug to fox to many times to rember ,was a decent lamping dog gave its all on everything, but it excelled at bushing mooching was a cracking little dog.
  2. second looked better, but the first wasnt a great for the camera compared to the second.

  5. if you put the work in to your dogs fitness it should have the stamina to do 30 rabbits easily weather or not the dog has the abillty or not is down to dog,was out with my buddy years ago i had my whippet he had has deer/grey and his collie /grey we were running the dogs in turns it was a great night wind was blowing a gale and rabbits were everywhere anyway half way threw the night we were left running my whippet as his two had gassed,my dog was not blowing a bit because i put the time in to him would walk him hour 30 mins every day and it showed that night.

  7. looks a very capable dog,a good whippet would open a lot of peoples eyes i had a good one myself and he took some beating.well done bud
  8. had a springer/beagle for a few seasons pal what a dog to drive cover was a pleasure to watch had a good terrier aswell used to get great sport from them and could control them easily they wouldnt range two far when hunting heavy ditches and dykes, but would range out in bogs and heavy spots, had to part with them when the child came along and got a new job, kept on to my lurcher thou tipping away with her lamping reds when i had a chance, have alot more time now going to build new kennels in the new year, thinking of getting two cockers, would love two 3/4 cockers 1/4beagle but they be hard to find
  9. terriers cant compete when there is hot scent around, but when there is very little cold scent around thats were the terriers teagles spaniels come in to there own as they will search covers like troopers for scent, only seen the odd 1 or 2 beagles that will really search when theres no scent around most are plodders till there on.
  10. not a hope in hell, your asking for trouble. dog could be killed, badly injured, lost, stolen too much shit could go wrong.

  12. probly the best ferreting dog i have seen oustanding marker, always in the right place to pick up bolters most wouldnt get 5 yards before he whipped them up,was a joy to watch him listening to the bumping and commotion going on in the warren bouncing along waiting for the bolt,he was a real gem and allways worked without nets,[NO TEXT TALK] that seen this dog working with ferrets rated him very highly.
  13. this bitch was an outstanding rabbit dog had pace to burn and the best strike i ever seen could turn like a whippet, lamping ferreting bushing was outstandng at all them, was a good hare dog to,and took a few reds every now and again, still gutted over her getting out of my yard, and some c**t picked her up and never to be seen again.

  17. i like my dogs to be full of drive and determination and give there all in the field, once they do that, wheather they miss or catch im happy, and couldnt ask much more out of them,at the end of the day its called hunting not killing if a certain quarry out runs your dog or out smarts it you have say fair play to it,
