  2. hankook dynapro atm rf10. best i've ever used . good for 50k miles. had em on 3 vehicles now
  3. biggest difference is the collie blood. smarter i'm sure but its like having a collie around. always on the bloody go. my other dogs have been much more laid back. not sure why but i'm getting so much more out of this dog. probably down to what i have to put in . as for the effort he puts in, i'm staggered. biggest heart on any dog i've had. go back 20 years when my dogs saw teeth and i know he'd have been as good as any i've had. i am feeding raw now too. something i've never done before so i'm sure thats making a big difference too.
  4. sure he'll end up at what he is now, about 26". very clever dog and learns quick ( quicker than me sometimes so its 2 steps forward and one back) . making good progress and i'm learning a thing or 2 just as quick. my first collie cross. always had beddy and dh crosses before. he gives it everything, some right acrobatics on the lamp and a dab hand at nicking the bunnys back through gates or stock fencing when they think they've got away
  5. no mate, a locally bred dog from a half cross and a track greyhound a good x that he's a good un ray but a bit head strong ( twat) but he'll mature
  6. no mate, a locally bred dog from a half cross and a track greyhound
  7. cheers lads. i'm hampered by the weather at the minute. just not right and can;t seem to get em away from the field edges. on the nights when the weather has been more suitable we're doing better.
  8. he's about 18 months or so now . 3/4 grey collie and really getting to know his trade now. rarely misses a bunny and when he does its my fault giving him an unrealistic slip. out again last night and had 2 out of 3 slips. good sized rabbits with a bit of fat round em. he's as fit as he could be and getting better all the time. his retrieve had started to get dodgy but he's back on track now. freezers filling up nicely , he's catching more than we can eat so he's a pot filler for us. really enjoying this collie cross.
  9. little belter that davey. good luck with it
  10. if you're feeding complete then feed less. if feeding raw then less fat or carbs
  11. i remember watching hi on tv as a kid. loved it. about year ago a member on here very kindly sent me his tv series on dvd. also picked up 2 of his books at a charity shop recently ( both new and unread). cracking stuff
  12. had a few dogs that would throw tablets up. i ended up using panacur liquid on them.
  13. any single syllable name that won't be mixed up with a command. usually the way i go
  14. i use a clulite 9.4 lithium on my lazerlte. get 3 hours constant
  15. my dog buck is a 3/4 grey collie and coming up 18 months. had a couple of trips out late august then whenever the conditions are suitable from then on. first few trips out i picked my slips carefully. he's got his eye in now though and rarely misses a rabbit. got some issues with him though. when he catches he wants to do a victory lap with the bunny , giving it a good old crunch when it squeals. i think i've been giving him a little too much freedom to choose what he wants to do so its back to basics now to reinforce the recall / retrieve and reinforcing the bond . its the first young dog i
  16. got out and buck managed 3 before the fog closed in last night. bloody odd season this.
  17. definitely not too late with your pup. try to get some time into it and keep consistent.

  21. said i was out with buck tonight and the lad didn't fancy it ( we were out last night too). no worries i say i'll go on my own. up pops the mrs and says she'll come . i do need someone to carry the rucksack. seriously though she's spot on and makes a mean rabbit pie.
