Landed on our feet really with everything from pens to keepers sheds all ready to go. Plenty of maintenance needing doing as last year's keeper was well known for being bone idle. The keeper before him was spot on though so all the bones of it are there.

After spitting my dummy out and saying I'm finished with organised fieldsports I've now, somehow, got the lease on a massive shoot. Spent the afternoon filling a few feeders, getting electric fence set up and having a mooch around

That was always my dad's joke ....wait till some old dear was showing off their cute little dog...then suggest it held its head funny and needed balancing. "You need to apply a tiny ball of lead into its ear at exactly the correct angle" -
