  1. I was going to get to that bit!!! The church abandoned it and was hoping to sell it!!! It was bon the verge of being sold.....to....THE LOCAL MOSQUE!!!! Luckily it was stopped and a group of interested individuals have taken it over and are hoping to protect and renovate it. I guess that's the point of my post! How can we allow stuff like this go to ruin. Even with billions of pounds stuff like this couldn't and wouldn't be achieved or built today. Shows how far we have fallen.
  2. Not one single nail in this roof! It's made from cedars of Lebanon. Imported from the holy land. Albert also imported saplings from Lebanon to his estate in Worcestershire to grow and be available for timber should repairs be needed. Unfortunately the trees have a presavation order on them so repairs have been done in other timber. I'm sure the trees could of been used and more saplings planted as Albert wished.
  3. Albert royd was a freemason and obsessed with symbolism. The church is full of it. This stain glass window shows Adam and Eve. It's full of hidden signs and symbols. But one of my favourite parts is the serpents face....it's actually the face of the local liberal MP ?
  4. I was recently given the opportunity to visit and look around st Edmunds church in Rochdale. I found it interesting so I'll add some photos in case anyone else does. I'll do it as a few different posts as i go along and get time tonight. St Edmund was Englands first patron Saint and apparently there is a group trying to re-establish him as such. As you enter the church st Edmund is shown on a carving above the door. He was martryd after being killed by arrows by the Vikings. It was commissioned by Albert royd a local industry magnate in 1873. It was built at massive cost of £2
  5. Just looked....yeah I reckon so ?
  6. Don't know what these roses are but they smell like proper roses, non of the new ones I've planted seem to have much scent
  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again. What a cock you really are! Like labour are going to protect the social fabric of Britain
  8. While I would happily hang the whole Tory contingent....to claim they damaged the social fabric of Britain (quite true, certainly didn't do anything to stop the decline) while being pro labour is madness. The social fabric of Britain is being damaged by mass immigration more than any other cause, and labour are voting and arguing against any attempts to control it. I've said it before.... nobody disagrees with your critic of conservatives.....but it's the position of being pro labour and pro more of what we hate the Tories for that allows us to see you as pathetic and rediculus. The cons
  9. Yeah that's the stuff. Can also be called nipbone apparently. I'll do some more research and make some. Then I'm going soak my kids in it when they fall. For old times sake ??
  10. I don't know. Sure we always called it nipbone.....
  11. Found this in the wood tonight. I know it's not the same but looks quite old. When we were young my dad used to make a concoction by sealing nipbone plants in bottles. He would then make us soak any aches or sprains in it. Stunk terrible
  12. What's one of them?

  18. The smaller black cats , think they are called black cat nanos but I might be wrong, they often don't catch em, you find em dead at the side of em in a pool of blood. I've had very few bad catches in the full size ones. Think I found 1 dead at the side of one and the one above but that's it.
