Yeah totally agree, it is another very effective tool when used right. Yes it can be deadly but so can rat poison that you buy from BnQ. Personally I believe rat poison has more dangers if used wrong than a pest controller/farmer who is even half intelligent using phostoxin. I aint going to line someones pocket to keep getting the paper work when traps are more versatile. Nothing wrong with applying like that. its not cymag.

I'm sorry but thats bollocks we start the 5th of oct and the birds have full tails and best even some of the top shots in the uk (first drive of the season went 350 shots for 19 birds)all that needs to happen is for keepers to do their job and get the birds in early enough to be mature before the start of the season 19 birds out of 350, surely the birds were to high or the guns not good enough? I hate seeing people bang away at out of range birds, Iv seen it most often at ducks. Why is it sporting to shoot at birds that are to high or beyond the guns ability but unsporting to kill lowe

We went with a guide last year but it cost a fortune. While up there everyone we met said 'why dont you just ask the farmers they see em as vermin, dont pay a guide'. So like you I fancy a free lance trip. Geese everywhere. Iv also read posts from locals who complain about people just turning up and asking, apparently they are taking the locals shooting. Also heard some stories of groups all turning up to shoot the same field s at the same time, some having paid. In the farming press iv heard local farmers complaining about goose numbers and saying something more needs to be done. I th

the lot who turned up for the rochdale meet were led by the liverpool group, with 4 other groups backing them up. Took the young lad for his first look at hounds, pity they spoiled it. -
It makes me laugh to hear people talk about how deadly phostoxin is. I know it can be dangerous but when you have been brought up in a pest control household where cymag and stricnine were stored, phostoxin was always seen as the safe option, the thing you could use while crawling under a bush. I used it quite a bit and got reasonably good results once id worked out my own system for applying it. I will normally try to find long straight runs and gas every 8 ft or so. I believe that if there is only small pockets of gas a mole can be through it before it takes full effect. If you gas a long ru

looking at a gamefowl site and quite a few on there said they used tobacco to worm their gamefowl, anybody ever heard of it?

always always always take names and record all details when dealing with people 'in authority' if you dont like what they say/they abuse their position/you get any come back then write all details down in a letter and send to a number of different people within the force/ department or indeed company mentioning you are complaining all the way up the ladder. I always have a note book handy now to record names of anyone i speak too.

'VIZ' TOP TIP When I find myself looking at the girls stood at the school bus stop I find it helps if I forget about the short skirts they are wearing and imagine them doing childish things--- it reminds me how young they are and stops me fancying them........... I normally imagine them sucking big lolly pops and splashing in their underwear in a big paddling pool.

Iv never used it, dont know why just thought it was a bit of a gimmick. Guess I dont like charging people for something that isnt tried and tested by me. keep looking for a little job to try it out on. Let us know if it works on the crows.

clarissa isnt dotty, she would do a better job of running the country than this lot. got to respect the old bird for shaggin in the house of commons behind the speakers chair and getting done for hare coursing!
