  1. they need good 'righting' skills?[bANNED TEXT] as good as yours?
  2. On the plus side there was loads of kids at the boxing day hunt meet i went to, all in new camo/tweeds, many with lurchers, terriers or gundogs. Shoots around the country will have teams of kids beating while off school. Our way of live is positive and healthy. If you worry that your local streets are empty of kids then make a pledge to get at least 1 extra kid out fishing/walking /mooching or hunting before the christmas holidays end. Kids from your family, a friend of your own kids or try and borrow one from in your street, just ask permission to borrow em first of course
  3. Put something clever- natural history, dealing in old books, studying history Something active- walking, running Something team orientated- rugby, football Something unusual/different/interesting- clay shooting, dog training, star gazing. Something your just taking up (so they cant catch you out when you dont know any)-languages
  4. Think everywhere is more or less the same on boxing day, just a bit of a show for the public. If its not a good day maybe give em a second chance later on.

I cant see any difference in what they do, she wont want to down load a pile of films, prob just facebook, ebay etc. so dont need loads of memory. Advice desperately needed

  9. is there anyone on here who knows the coniston meets. i have a meet card and have been finding them on the map but i cant find this saturdays. I know what its called just not how to find it!! if anyone knows their country well can you let me know and i'll pm you for details. cheers
  10. the vast majority will be the same as last year. there is normally a list in horse and hound and it will prob be on the countryside alliance web-site before christmas.
  11. Has anyone defended canned hunting? no! just saying that if you have no knowledge of a subject and simply use 1 example of an abuse to class a whole section of hunting as wrong and if you preach as fact about a subject you know little about then you are, in some ways, acting very similar to an anti. For the majority of fieldsports enthusiasts in the uk the over riding motivation is not pest control or rabbit stew, if it were then hunting /shooting rights would not be worth so much nor fiercely protected!
  12. has that dog got a white coursing collar on?
  13. no mate the vast majority of big game hunts definitely arnt. Maybe lion hunting in south africa (i dont know any thing about that some wouldnt make comment) but to class all big game hunting in africa in the same boat .
  14. fair play to the girl she didnt freak out. 'iv heard good things about you benji'
  15. no, calling people sicko's on a public forum for doing something you know very little about means that your attitude is quite like an anti.
  16. No, dont use a muzzle, if it meets a rat it will stand no chance and if you lose it it will starve to death.
  17. My girlfriend at the time was at the vet school near potters bar. I would sometimes have a drive out and just wondered what sport the local pack had. While stopping down there I planned to follow them but as she was a proper pain in the backside I never got chance. Traded her in so i'm off hunting today tho!
  18. we all enjoy hunting, we dont hunt to help farmers we hunt because its a natural instinct. I dont give a feck if its a rabbit or a lion or a tame pheasant, if ones wrong they all are. there is still plenty of wild big game/wilderness hunting to be found in africa- if you have the money or the balls to search for it. I know a chap who goes once every few years to some quite far out dangerous places and blags his hunting where he can with as much danger and risk as any 18th century explorer. Hunting in south africa may not match the african hunting of years ago but you can still hunt wild game o
  19. Did anyone on here hunt with the enfield chase before the amalgamated? I spent quite a lot of time in their country and , well, it looked quite tight! roads everywhere and a tiny country. Always wondered what kind of sport they enjoyed
  20. some times it seems there are more mole catchers round my way than moles! I know lads in other areas that work more or less year round and turn work away due to time constraints.
  21. no but 3 days a week for about 2 month between Christmas and spring depending on the weather, plus domestics year round as they come in. I get all my farms done in those 2 months, dont really want to pick up anymore farms.
  22. i can rip a few out if its too much pal
