    bees

I drove through 1 swarm the other day and a friend of mine who does pest control in a hospital spent half a day following a swarm around the grounds, proper panicing when it went past A+E Iv had loads of calls for bee's this year, pity the locations of some of them prevented me from saving more.
  5. Get a professional out, most wont charge to come out and look at a problem and give advice (UK). why try and guess yourself
  6. Got a bit of a job on at the moment that needs a scaffold, in the bolton area. Anyone want to give us a quote. Its not a massive job but they also want the whole buildings gutters and facias doing at a later date so Im going to give a quote for that aswell (that is a big job) and if I can find a local firm who dosnt take the pis maybe we can do a bit together on a few different jobs. First job is about 14meters long, just to high for my ladders!
  7. I was thinking that i'll go for 50p a mile, its about 120 round trip so will get £60. I'll sill £40 in for petrol and £20 wear and tear!
  8. A company that I do a bit of freelance work for have asked me to use my own car tomorrow for a job. I normally use theirs and the price that I charge them reflects this. What would you say the going rate is when charging a company mileage when using your own motor? Its quite a long drive so not using my own for free. cheers, Ian
  9. I went to pamplona a few years back and took a fly rod in my bag, went for an hour on a river that ran past the campsite and I caught barbel on the fly, Mates didnt believe me [bANNED TEXT] I got home, glad someone has proved it possible!

  11. Willow if its in shallow water/mud or leylandii if its dry ground, you can plant em round a pallet hide.

  14. Iv seen the writing overlap a couple of times mate but cant get to the bottom of why. will ask web friend who set me on the road with it next time I see him. I am going to change the font on the number, thats something i had already thought about, good to see someone thought the same. Cheers, Ian
  15. Just made my new website live http://www.iansmithpestcontrol.co.uk/ My first one was very localised concentrating on one area, so the new one hopefully will allow me to expand a bit more. Not totally finished yet but nearly there, defo need to get the mrs to do a spell check. Any comments/website advice greatfully recieved as computers are relativly new to me, 5 years ago i couldnt switch one on never mind working on websites. Ian
  16. its not slander, he really is fat.
  17. I never really liked him, dont know why, just dont have much respect for fatties and dont like fox shooters being a hunting person myself-if you need to shoot foxes for vermin control fair enough but no need to make waank DVDs about it and want a pat on the back (personal opinion only of course). Maybe if any of us see him at the shows this year we should ask him about the dog.

    anti's

I dont fly birds of prey but used to have a club come to the a moor I worked on each year, the only time I had abuse from anti's was on one of their visits, think they were out looking for hounds though and found us instead.
  19. Sadly i'm starting to agree, iv always been a royalist but am loosing more and more respect for the queen as she watches over the most disgusting period of national decline this country has ever seen. I dont want a president (imagine president blair!!) i believe in a royal family but one that has some back bone. We get what we deserve I suppose!
  20. Not a chance this will happen, RSPB already said they will start a legal challenge, it will just drag on and on like badger culling. just another way for lawyers, mp's and tabloids to spend their time while the country keeps going to the dogs.
  21. saw one knock down one of my fan tailpigeons when I was young, knocked it out the sky in one of the pigeons rare flights round the fields behind the loft. Dad wouldnt believe it was a crow I saw do it. I scared the crow away but the bird still died later. Seen crows proper hammering leverets round silage fields after they have been cut. The leverets had escaped the chopper but when they stuck their noses back onto the cut fields the crows where on them trying to lift some quite big leverets as they screamed and wriggled free. If more shooters and keepers put real effort into controllin
