Hello again, Bob Thank you so much for posting ‘The Poacher’s Apprentice’ film. I’m only sorry that Dad wasn’t still alive to see it: he would have loved it. The scene where the poacher is checking his night lines and the two lads are spying on him reminded Paul and me of the tales Dad used to tell us about his maternal grandfather, Joe Timmins. Joe, a coal miner, was acknowledged in the Walsall Wood of the 1920s to be one of the most skilful poachers in the district. Its hard to not think ill of them ... if they have had problems getting on line surely one of them could have text or called one of there friends to relay a message to this forum even if there was nothing to update . The other thing I cant get my head around is if they set this thing up knowing that a sob story would get people delving into there pockets as folk on here tend to do & have given generously in the past .....it was a very short sighted move on there part How could someone who does country shows & fares in the summer continue to do so in the light of all this ....

Just got email from pay pal saying andy hasn't got a paypal set up so my donation hasn't gone any one help me sort this out it's not much money but still want it to go to help out this lad. This is the post where a member has had a problem sending money to the e mail address .....

You make a good point Kay, I reckon a good few hundred must of been raised unless everyone saying they donated only sent a quid. Be interesting to know how much was raised whether the story was true or not. that's how I see it too regardless of an ''alleged'' attack or the bloke stumbled and fell... I read on here one lad tried to donate and he said it wouldn't accept his payment

Unless I am mistaken there hasn't been any kind of total amount of money donated been posted on here ...... normally folks break there neck to disclose how much moneys been given/ raised I genuinely dont want to go with what my guts telling me on this one

When i was a lollypop lady I used to see the same parents drop there kids off in there dressing gown's & cheapo ugg boots with manky pj bottoms tucked in them ..... that was at least 15 yrs ago so its not a new trend tbh....... I kind of lien it to my mother running to the shop in her rollers & headscarf in the 70's for 10 park drive
