Best news for ages ... I should have my allotment in a couple of weeks :-) but ...... A word of warning..... Bloke up the allotment dug up what he thought were a load of onions he took them home and cooked and ate them. Turns out they were daffodil bulbs. They made him very sick and he is in hospital. Doctors say that there is no need to worry though. He will be out in Spring :-D

Just wondered what folks opinions on this one are.... last year I spotted a pile of largish stones had appeared around the bottom of 2 trees This little area is where I usually photograph crocus , so I only visit around 3 times when the crocus are in flower I noted the stones last year & thought nothing about it.... I popped there today to see if the crocus are ready to take some pics & I spotted some empty snail shells amongst the stones I guess rain could have exposed them ... I just never noticed them untill last year Is there anything that would place stones like

That's probably aimed at me I think katchum.Well let me just say this.ive never grassed anyone up in my whole life and don't like grasses either. I'm no angel but if I have broke the law it hasn't harmed anyone flicking a lamp here and there. But when it comes to charity and folk ripping other very nice generous folk off for there hard earned money. Then I don't personally give a feck about the scamming twats. And would love to read about him in his local paper or the cmw being found guilty of fraud. It might be only £20 that someone has given him.but they have grafted for a few hrs to earn

This didn't occur to me until I re read some of Kelly's posts on the thread... his Mrs claimed she could replace what was taken on the 12 dec.. page 7 on this thread i can replace everything that was stolen for when andy is up and about and ready to face the fells once again. If thats the case she / they must have known what was missing way back in Dec.... when they where questioned about a locator & cameras this was the reply posted on 17th Jan .. page 16 we noticed the first lot of stuff had been taken and listed it on here, a farmer had some of his stuff that was laying

Totally agree with the above..... folks where fighting over who was buying or sending bins..... everyone who gave should be very proud of the fact they didn't question the honesty of the story & gave regardless I recall reading it was several weeks before they knew what was taken in total & then it transpires that a knocker box & cameras where also replaced.

Just a few words of advice regarding bailiffs... if there on your case for council tax... DO NOT CORRESPOND WITH THEM.. DO NOT LET THEM IN ... they will visit several times but what happens next is they refer the debt back to the council Once the council contact you set up a manageable payment plan to pay any arrears ... doing it this way means you dont end up paying the bailiffs silly charges & agreeing an unmanageable monthly payment This was advice given to me by the CAB about 3 yrs ago & its correct thats exactly what the bailiffs did ... referred the arrears back to the c

I dont think I could live like that ... not knowing from one day to the next if your going to get any money ... how does it work if you have no work at all for weeks & does it mean you have to sign on & if so what happens to your expenditure commitments while your waiting for a claim to go through ? It's a tricky situation Kay, and they are good questions that i will have to find the answers to if i dont find alternative employment soon Good luck I know how hard it is to get a job with the employer direct

Its ridiculous when she worked for burger king they would drag her in for like 3 hours it shouldn't be allowed. She is still on zero hour else where but they are fair and she gets decent shifts and clocks up 25-35 hours week so can manage This is why I would rather stay wher

Sorry should have said thats for 12.5 hours a week , my hourly wage went up in Dec to 7.08 .. I also get an attendance allowance of £ 5.31 per week I have been at that job 10 years ... I could have got more hours else where but 99% of the jobs are zero hours .. so stuff that for a game of soldiers

I could have gone bankrupt but decided to deal with the debts head on... best thing I ever did .. my debts got out of control when my husband left 6 yrs ago... I did what lots do ... ignored the letters & calls I had a good row with myself & made that first phone call to the creditors I owed. It wasn't as daunting as I had imagined.... if you act as soon as you can people really are helpful I now have payment plans with all my creditors & pay them every month I dont live an extravagant life anyway .. no motor to run or have holidays ... so all in all I know where I stand &a

Don't you find it interesting that he was supposed to be ferreting yet no mention of ferrets left behind which they would have been if he was ferreting a warren? That is without his nets that would have been covering the holes. We only have his word (for what it is worth) that he was actually robbed of rabbits? TC I think there is a reference to having to collect ferrets from the farmer .. i will see if i can find it

The bit regarding the tattoos is interesting.... he must have been very close to the blokes to have noticed them especially something as small as a swallow tattoo on someone's hand ..... before being knocked out cold If I was out doing a spot of ferreting & a couple of people showed up that I had not seen about before I would have given the landowner a quick call just to see if they had any knowledge of them .. if not I think I would have packed up & gone to my car ... even for a bloke on his own it would be pretty intimidating.
