I am very happy with her .. her weights just right now i think & there both getting plenty of excersize .. madge seems a much happier dog since switching to raw food

I had the most lovely hour out with Madge this evening... she played for the first time in 2 & a half years of having her & i dont mind admitting it made me cry seeing her wanting to play & racing about despite the deer being out in the fields ... she behaved perfectly & her recall was 100% :toast:

I assume your older hob still has its tackle .. if so then its likely he is still a tad hormonal ... if you wait a month or so most hobs will be coming out of season by then as the nights draw in

I would be giving them raw meat everyday .. i have fed mine all sorts .. rabbit. chicken lamb pigeons..etc

This attitude of keeping animals alive no matter what, really pisses me off ! Do the the right thing for them , you and your wallet, cull them. Vets really love this attitude and milk it for all it's worth. i totally agree its extraordinary the measures some people will go to to keep an animal alive i am all for people who take any animal to the vets if the problem can be fixed & the animal has a good quality of life .. but if the prognosis is poor them why the hell prolong it ferrets with leg /spine problems rarely get fixed ... i couldnt see a ferret dragging it back e

To be honest if someone flicked my nose i would bite there f*****g head off .. simply handling them correctly & plenty of it .. couple it with a meat diet &y you wont go far wrong

i know people talk shite and say they would do this and that on this site, but if he lived that near me he would already be dead well i dont want to deprive my lad of either of his parents thats selfish ... but he gets plenty of stick from folks round here

You'll never get a dog up to full fitness just walking them Kay......maybe "pet" fit yes. well what else do i need to do then apart from walking there legs off

I am getting my dogs fit at the moment ... i am just walking them at a trot but the plan is to increase the length of time i am out with them each week ... i will also benefit form the walking so we all might get fit

Im sorry, but they will if you dont molly coddle them, its just that they aint used to it, tip; removed all your dried food, stick a raw chicken leg in with them, they will eat when hungary if we shut you in a room, with nothing but raw meat, you would at some time, rather than die of hunger, eat the meat, a ferret is no different rant over 2 reasons why I wouldn't do that 1, ferrets have a very short digestive track and I would see starving them for a long period of time wrong, to get my ferrets to eat meat they would proberly have to go a very very long time without food.
