Whichever Welshman thought that up really shouldnt be allowed to think unsupervised! So cross breeds dont work? lol
-
That was my take on it also.

Poacher3161; wouldnt mind listening to some of his tales. Malt; speaks alot of sense for a Welshman. Inan; really seems a wealth of knowledge on the sports that interest me. Dan Edwards; doesnt mince his words and hunting hard quarry we just dont have in this country. 5th place either, Ideation; seems well travelled! Hannah; again well travelled and amazing pics to boot. Gnasher; straight talking and down to earth

She was a late starter as she was born May 2009, so I wasnt able to start her untill August 2010 (about 15 months old). She would have deffinately benefitted from work at a much younger age though. At 4 months old she bumped into a myxi rabbit and killed it and unfortunately discovered hares straight after. So from 4 months old she was hunting as hard as she could, which wasnt ideal or a good thing imo. Failing to catch meant f**k all to this bitch even from 4 months old, just made her more determined to get the bugger next time. Ive learnt alot from this bitch, I love her prey drive b

First cross collie grey to a first cross wheaton grey, 24"tts 50lb These are pics from the end of last summer. Hell of a lot of prey drive! Good nose. Quite independant/stuborn and always pushing boundaries. Only had a seasons light work on soft quarry, this september will be her making or breaking.

Hanging for peados and rapist, not sure about murderers because murder can often be committed due to highly emotional situations. For instance if someone I loved was seriously attacked and I was there, if I took defence too far and caved the b*****ds scull in with a brick that would be murder but I dont feel it hangable. Murderers that committed the offence through personal greed just to get rid of someone I would hang. Corporal punishment for todays disrespectfull scum would be good also, publicly too.

Idont mean to be rude but your starting to sound stupid best to let it go mate, Alright genius, how am i starting to sound stupid? It's a simple question. Hunting with dogs here = ILLEGAL. Flushing with 2 to the gun = NOT ILLEGAL. So, all i'm asking is where does 'baying to the gun' come - Illegal or not. NOW HOW THE f**k IS THAT STUPID SMART ASS??? I believe the staghound packs of southern England hunt the same way ideation. Bringing the stag to bay to be shot by the huntsman. Probably best to look into the legalities of English stag hunts. I believe it

Why are you interested in comparing the two dan? Imo they are two different types for two different jobs. A cross of the two types would be my preference.

No different to when we all complained after the coursing one they did. We all got exactly the same response! Maybe we should e-mail them and try to get them to do a bit on one of their programmes about legal lurcher and terrier work. Showing it in a good light for a change as opposed to their usuall anti lurcher/terrier shite! I think they owe us that seeing as our TV licences just seem to be spent on anti propaganda!

Listen to you all bleeting on about ya fen hares! Fen hares are for jackers! Real dogmen only run hares that have been on a treadmill 7 days a week for at least 4 months. Mens hares for proper dogs!

"During World War II he was chief demolition officer for the western half of Australia. It would have been his responsibility to blow up the key strategic harbour of Fremantle, near Perth, if Japan had invaded." I found this bit interesting; "But despite his military record, Mr Choules became a pacifist. He was known to have disagreed with the celebration of Australia's most important war memorial holiday, Anzac Day, and refused to march in the annual commemoration parades." Says alot about what war does to a man.

A good dog man will make a poor dog look average and a good dog look great, but a poor dog man will make a good dog look average and and average dog look poor. Both the dogman and the hound have their own limitations with the jobs they have to perform. Its not all about the hound or his master, its a bit of both. Seeing a good dogman with a truely gifted dog is like watching a master of his craft at work with a quality instrument and its very rare to see.

Ive seen similar in a cocker spaniel I used to work. But that was deffinately work related, the dog fitted during the days beating, quite often after he had been in water. We found keeping his suger levels up helped alot. However this doesnt sound the same. Whats the breed of dog? The cocker was a chocolate and I do wonder if it had something to do with it, too closely bred etc...

i think they can,and do,i have come across two litters over the years ,they were both late [oct]and both in the Grantham area.About 10 years ago i lost a doe ferret in a large open field set near Boston,i can only assume her collar packed upand she was stuck, although a local farm worker looked out for her for over a week, we had to give her up for lost, six months later, the ferret was caught in a cage trap on a fenland smallholding, a mile away from where it was lost. I found a hob ferret in the grantham area. Skinny as hell when I found him. I personally dont think he would have surviv

A honest thread by a respectable member of the site ruined by a not so respectable member of the site!

You sound like the Gestapo! lol The site deffinately used to be alot better and have alot less cocks and a hell of alot more respectable, knowlegeable and experienced members. Its still a top site though considering the ban we are having to work with.

Speak ya mind Dan. This thread would benefit from some American input.
