I think any kind of physical activity is very much an individual thing, different stuff 'flicks' that switch for different people. I think the main attraction for the average person that does some sort of weight training is the general feel good factor it gives you. Looking in the mirror in the morning and seeing an strong hard athletic figure instead of a soft feable one. Being able to lift with ease that paving slab that before would have damn near crippled you. Depends on the dog and situation of course but I don't think I would be getting shot of the dog. I would have the dog outside for a start and teach it where it belongs in your family at the same time. I know other family members can be a bit soft with dogs but the little f****r should of had the seven shades of shit knocked out of it immediately by your missus, absolutely no excuses for a dog snapping but it does happen if the dogs left thinking it's place is higher than it should. I would personally feed carcasses instead of wings, I don't see the need to mince them though. Possible chop em into more manageable chunks if the pup is very small. If you're really bothered you could either purchase a simple mincer yourself and mince the carcasses or possibly phone Bulmer dog foods and ask if they could mince them for you. They may be open to the idea if you buy in bulk.

There's a thread pinned in this section full of recomendations! The minced chicken is just flesh, no bone. Personally I have chicken carcasses, beef & tripe mince and bones off them. Very reasonable prices and always fresh. The dogs do well on it.

Think of it this way; What if there was half a dozen or so fishermen on this site that absolutely detested lurcher work, thought that lurchermen were real scum bags regardless of any reasons or ethics and every thread put up about a nights lamping or work these half a dozen 'anti lurcher anglers' gave there opinions on how shitty lurchermen are. Would you be so supportive of their right to voice their opinions or would you, as I would, leave the site because it was ruined? Debate is good and healthy but this is becoming a joke.

On farm land my approach is to tell them politely what I am doing and why and then if they get funny about it simply to f**k off and report me to whoever the wish to. It's never gone further than that. If I'm in a funny mood I may go with the odd wind up. In your situation I would do the same but direct them to the land owner/park authority very politely, even go so far as having his number to hand so you can phone him and hand the phone to the unhappy individual.
