No mate,,, I don't like thik canvarse type trousers ,,, I like trousers with elastic waists and draw strings,,,lol...     I know some cracking game shots that are the same. Rabbits are the nemesis of many experienced guns! If i couldn't shoot rabbits, I'd shoot very little, lol.

    I can't dissagree with that WC, but people like what they like. Terriers are versatile little things and if that's what you get on with why not. I'd say it's more important that people are aware of what it is they are getting than necessarily the suitability of that dog for that job. Regardless of the type someone chooses for the job they have I'd say ignorance is a bigger issue. You can buy a spaniel for beating but if you haven't a clue about the breed it'll cause hell for you, you can buy a digging dog for beating and with a thorough understanding of the animal you can end up with something

    Like I said mate, I'd never seen so many woodcock as on your patch! Seriously, last season up here 3 were shot in total between 10 driven days and 3 walk up days! And that is about the best tally I have seen in 8 years of shooting! This year 2 have been flushed and 1 shot between 9 driven days and 4 walk up days. LOL Don't be a twat, first time I'd seen a woodcock dropped with a 410! ......................................... b*****d!

    Have you no shot one at all before than mate? No mate, when I was younger I had shots at a couple. Had a couple at one on Saturday. But tbh just never really had many opportunities. I really don't do that much game or fowl shooting, maybe 3-4 serious walk up days a year. I'll get one one day.... LOL

    Bit late now but I'd of looked for a bit of beating mate. f***ing hell, thinking about it you could have done a bit for us this season if you didn't mind travelling down the A1! We have been after somebody else with a spaniel or two. Not sure it would have been exactly what you were looking for but would have been work at least. Drinking in the right pubs opens a lot of doors. And the right pubs often allow dogs in............ well behaved and bussiness like dogs and the attention will soon find you without having to look for it.

    As long as you're happy, who cares. So what if someone takes a digging dog and ends up shooting over it or takes a gundog and ends up ratting with it. Be honest with yourself and enjoy your days in the field, they're too few to care about such trivial things imo.

    We live in a democracy, allegedly. If our monarch, who is not elected by the people, was to start behaving in an autocratic manor it would rapidly be the end of the monarchy full stop.
