and me twice a month at least ... I'd like to say "twice a month at least", but my life ain't that exciting........ LOL! Loads better than a takeaway in front of the tv though, doesn't even have to be any more expensive either. Proper sit down, enjoy the food and have a good old fashioned conversation. Very civilised, eh.
-
Never...... I'd rather go out for a sit down meal in a nice pub/restaurant.

Muslims will invade a militarily weak Scotland for their whiskey.......... Sunderland will become Britain's northern garrison to defend against the wildling invaders........ They'll fight to keep their necks above water, with little victories cherished and sung about, rat traps layed and feasts at Weatherspoons............. It'll be grim lad..... Salaam Alaikum, Ha'way, ya wee b*****d!
-
so a thread on muslim footballers in sunderland wanting independance aint your thing?? >>> insert Tommy Lee Jones here <<<
-
FAO anybody that gives a f**k... f***ing hell, it's not hard to get ya head round is it. Every other day he puts a thread up about independance........... why can't just one thread on it go rather than spamming the shit out the forum. Likewise with any other topic, like f***ing "Sunderland AFC"! It makes no sense, the same arguments are repeated on every thread, one thread would at least go a long way to reducing that and save the monotomy of it. And quite frankly Re muslims, I'd gladly have the subject f***ing banned!

Well, I knew my land was passed for the calibers I requested prior to applying. I then waited for the interview to be confirmed before buying the safe, just to play it safe (pardon the pun). Still might get knocked back but I'm pretty confident for it to have gone this far. Yeah, your FLO/FEO will want to check your safe/storage, dunno if you can ask him to check it pending grant?

There's some drunk Italian youths with a car jack pissing themselves in those hills!
-
Yeah, probably will do mate. Hopefully all everything goes smoothly and eventually get that deer rifle I'm after. Besides .50BMG rounds aren't small!
-
Cocky sod . I did know that hence buying a safe with a lockable ammo store, your answer was ambiguous and made me doubt myself. Firearms Liaison Officer, thought you might have known that one mate.....
-
I just shit my pants then Walshie! Separate lockable safe, which can be part of the gun safe itself right? Got the FLO coming tuesday and safe delivered today! LOL

Good Allround Starter 12 Bore Shotgun

Mate, I've got the Silver Pigeon 12g 30" Sporter and it's no bother to carry around. I'll quite happily do 8 miles walked up with it. And the weight should have the benfit of taking recoil a bit better if you are shooting heavy loads or high intensity. Game/field models, like Nick said, are lighter. The weight is taken from the stock so they are 'barrel heavy' and not balanced like a sporter. You might find they encourage 'swing through' better because of this. I think they tend to be a bit cheaper than sporter models too....? -
Yeah, also Charlie comes out as a transgender, a plane crashes into Stans fish shed jepardising his dogs fish supply and the Roberts' lad gets killed by a bear....... f***ing wall to wall drama mate.
-
He did well enough on the goose hunt last year and the caribou. Only time I can remember the lad failing is this years moose hunt, and that was because he was held up helping his old man with the fish wheel. He gets his wolf this year too. I saw that episode while over in the states. He seems to go for the high value furs over the lesser ones like his old man. Just a typical young lad, knows best and takes chances. His old man knows the score, he'd be a cracking chap to meet for a drink yeah.
-
Fair enough, my old man didn't teach me to hunt so can't compare but I'm bull headed like Joey and like to learn the hard way so I can sympathise. And from what I've seen, the lad's a better hunter than his old man anyway.... LOL. But regards surviving, his old man has a lot to teach him, he's starting to show a bit of humility though.
-
IMO one of the best shows on TV, similar to Yukon Men, is Mountain men! Loads of trapping and hunting. Got a chap called Rich who basically hunts lions with Walker hounds to hunt them out of the country for the local ranchers, a proper conservationist.
-
I like him mate, he looks the part if nothing else. He needs to listen to his old man more, he knows the score. Did you listen to your old man when you were a youngster? I didn't/don't, lol. Got a lot of respect for his old man though. He was a troubled city lad that went out and made it work in the wilds of Alaska with grit and persistence. He didn't have the upbringing his lad Joey has.
-
In fairness Baw, that Joey is a pretty well respected hunter and trapper. He seems to know his shit, just luck of the draw I guess.

I'd guess it's to add a bit of drama, they make things sound worse than they perhaps are for tv. You watched the first season? Bad shit does happen out there, a chap drowned on the goose hunt in the thaw. Maybe it's just life out there, risks are taken all the time. I imagine we don't see a lot of the boring shit that holds them up getting the stuff done we see.

18 Weeks And Still Waiting Zzzzzzzzzz
Born Hunter replied to Tornado1979's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
It pays to kick arses a bit at times eh. Nice one! -
Excellent, the specials with the epic challenges are legendary! I'd chop in my left bollock to do one of them. That Africa one last year where they traced the route of the Nile was good, so was the Bolivia 4x4 challenge, the Zimbabwe/Namibia two wheel drive challenge, Vietnam, Middle East............ They're crackers!
-
I knew what you meant and why (something you in fact taught me in a previous thread), just made me laugh, LOL. Yeah, that's better. I once again have faith in your level of geek-ery!
