  1. That's funny mate, I've just done a UK Poll and it said "no f***ing chance". LOL. Like I said, where do you get these polls from? They're not even approaching reality.
  2. I've not quoted anybody in that thread about the pound. All I ever really comment on was Defence.
  3. If you can walk away from the debt, can we let you and keep all the assets? Or do you get to keep what you consider your fair share of UK assets but have no obligation to UK debt? Simple questions joe.
  4. LOL, I was thinking that. Its feck all! If Scotland aren't obliged to share debt then we surely aren't obliged to share all assets? UK assets account for more than just the pound. Sounds like a good deal for the UK!
  5. Where the f**k do you get these polls from? LOL LOL
  6. So the logical question is; why not just do that? It'd please both sides of the argument! LOL. I suspect that's not quite the full story eh Joe? The YES argument just makes no sense, you're making out they're doing the stupid thing taking on debt they're not obliged to and fighting for a shared currency............. It begs the follow up question; why are you voting YES? LOL
  7. Top man, met him a couple times and very kindly put me up in his house for a week. He's going back to Canada from what I've been told. With a bit of good fortune I'll be going over with a mate in the future.
  8. ohhh f**k don't, BH will be on the now without an opinion on it Says the sore looser.......... Only one pack of crisps worth eating and they're Nik Naks.
  9. Was the technology not invented to go on these missions though.? If you said we went to the moon and came back with something new and amazing then that would be worth while. Getting everything back to front these scientists...;-) Mate, that's just how research works. War is another thing that sees huge and rapid advancements in technology, technology that would go undiscovered otherwise.
  10. Lab, it's been estimated that NASA has given a ten fold return in investment through technology produced in its reach for the stars. That sounds a pretty good investment does it not? Like I said, it's not what we find on Mars but what we learn in getting there. We're very comfortable in the environment that the Earth provides us with. One day maybe millenia from now we will benefit from being comfortable in taking steps outside of this Earth. Let's be proactive and take those small steps now.......... especially if those small steps will see short term returns from their investment.
  11. I don't tend to bother, never much need personally. If I want to I have half a dozen various cans of Lynx kicking about for a quick blast.
  12. So space exploration is a complete waste of resource? Lab, it's not what we find on the Red planet that's of real importance, it's what we learn getting there and back.......
  13. Esque; a suffix that forms adjectives having the meanings “resembling,” “in the style or manner of,” I could describe my swimming a dolphin-esque, does that mean I think I'm a dolphin? LOL LOL He was drawing similarities. As I did with the antis putting certain animals on a pedastal purely because they're beautiful. Which was essential your argument.
  14. There you go trivialising the argument again. Where has anybody said that to have compassion for animals makes you an anti? Making a decision on stock management based on emotion and not rational thought makes you a fool not an anti.
  15. Haha, I said I do get the same sense of awe, I can just rationalise my decisions. ffs LOL. And I'm perfectly aware of the differences between a cow and a bloody giraffe, LOL. The differences between the management of a domestic herd of each and how it would affect this though............? FFS baw at times it's like talking to a kid.
  16. You make it what you want, there's no need to get caught up in the commercial side of it if you don't want to. It's simply a traditional day to make the person that is special and important to you feel it. Not something that should only happen once a year but it's one day of tradition.
  17. As I said earlier and you are the one brining dairy cattle into it...... If you can't see the difference between a giraffe and cattle, I feel sorry for you my friend Isn't that a straw man argument? Trivialise the position of your opponent in a desperate attempt to make them appear wrong. LOL I appreciate your sympathy, it warms my heart.
  18. LOL, I was arguing against killing it being ethically wrong. That doesn't mean as a result that keeping it alive would be ethically wrong........... LOL, talk about seeing life in black and white. haha Is it wrong to shoot a dairy bull calf? NO. Is it wrong to keep it alive despite being uneconomical? No. Is it wrong imo to say that it shouldn't be killed? Yes. That's pretty much my view with this giraffe.
  19. Are attacks and deaths becoming more common or is it just being reported more or is it just that I'm noticing it more? Seems like a child is being mauled every few months or so.....
  20. If that's what you've managed to take from what I've written there's no hope for this conversation mate.
  21. Baw, does that mean I win? LOL, just f***ing with ya. And I'm not 'glad it's dead', I just don't have a problem with them killing it, I wouldn't have had a problem with them keeping it alive either.
  22. Baw, I'm not having a go at your oppinion mate, so don't take what I'm saying as a personal attack. I just took exception to your point of people like myself that see no difference and get no sense of awe or satisfaction at seeing these magnificent creatures in the flesh. It's a bit like people that say "how can you be a conservationist, enjoy watching cubs and fawns in the summer, but then go out and kill them in the winter?".
  23. If you look at a cow with the same affection as a giraffe then yes, you don't get the same buzz. You say giraffes aren't in short supply, how many have you seen then? As for deer pmsl, we are tripping over them in Scotland so I don't care what anti group thinks on the subject. They are a pest and need eradicated, I really don't see the connection other than trying to make out I think like an anti because I don't want to see an animal like this which is there as an ATTRACTION because of its beauty, destroyed needlessly. Where has anybody said they look at a cow with the same affection a
  24. I think BGs require a modicum more of skill to 'set' than the FENNs do (but that's half the enjoyment in using them). For instance restricting the entrance between the bars to stop a squirrel trying to slip down the side of the trigger. I've learnt through a little experience trapping rabbits and had squirrels caught by the arse. Set well with experience and knowledge, they're fecking lethal! I like the Mk4, can't remember the last time I had a poorly caught critter............ that's not to say death is instantaneous mind, I couldn't comment on that other than little sign of struggle.
  25. Baw, just because some people can rationalise a situation doesn't mean they have no soul. LOL. Do you really think that people like myself don't get the same buzz you do seeing these exotic animals or places? LOL. So, because we get that sense of awe we should ignore sensible stock management and animal husbandry practices and keep them alive regardless?...... "because they're magnificent creatures"........... Isn't that what LACS did/do on their estate with the Red deer? You say the giraffe is 'special' but that's pretty much where your argument ends? I really don't see how the management
