We live in a society where we have gradually had our responsibilites taken from us by the state, it's fostered a 21stC mentallity of zero responsibility and accountability. It's a bigger problem than simply dogs killing kids in our own homes. Half of the country can't maintain their own health never mind that of a completely dependant infant. Give the people back their responsibilites and see their attitudes change.... -

My mate in the RAF Reg calls em "cold n wets" for obvious reasons. They're not gortex, the gortex ones are more expensive. I'm still waiting on a proper pair of GorTex from him....

ME! Magnificent creature and all but the opportunity to be part of such a dangerous hunt, I couldn't pass. I've got no great ambition to follow a PH into the African bush and be lead to a placid Lion for my 'trophy' shot from yards away, but to be part of a hunt for dangerous game in a truly legendary maner such as hunting a man-eater or following up a wounded Leopard would be an amazing opportunity imo. Cungers up the writings of Roosevelt and Hemmingway.... I await the "great white hunter wannabe" blah blah bollocks....

There was a thread up a while back about a chap who was on the waiting list for some life saving surgery and gave up his place for a young kid. I can't remember the details but very brave man indeed. Stiff, you reckon Labalaba didn't get the VC because he was Fijian or because the UK Gov. wanted to keep British miliitary involvement in Oman quiet? Even today there's very little publicised on what we did in Oman. The man was a f***ing machine by all accounts! -
Exactly, we could all say what we'd do with 10M or 100M but 1M is an interesting amount. It really don't buy you that much these days! LOL. I don't think I'd be retiring on it but invest 1/2 wisely should enable me to semi retire....

Has it been officially classed a man eater? Tbh, shooting the odd occurance of a man eater won't do the tiger population any harm. I'd imagine habitat loss, expanding human populations and poaching are 99% the cause of Tiger population decline.

Aye, sod that, I'd be buying a relatively newly built place tucked away in a smart but quiet country village. 4 bed and absolutely immaculate inside, classy bathroom with huge tub and massive walk-in shower/wetroom, big open fire in master bedroom and log burner in grand fireplace in the lounge. Like I said, I can fantasise...... What you going to do with the spare bedrooms? Harsh Maltenby..... very harsh! I live in a four bed now! #1 is my bedroom, #2 is my makeshift gym, #3 is a spare bed & #4 is just full of shit!........ It sounds grander than what it really is. LOL.

Nice idea tess. I've always thought a proper country pub would be nice, something aimed at countrymen to give it character, lurcher and terrier knocking about, partys of guns etc etc. Strange because I don't drink either, lol. Nice thought but I'd be bored of it after a while anyway.

buzz kill Ha ha I knew someone would say that That's why I think £1M is an interesting amount. Had this discussion before. Think I'd spend 400k on a house, 100k on an F-Type and Landy, invest 4-500k (possibly in rental properties) and drop to a 3 day week so I can enjoy what I have a bit more....

I'd agree with that Bird, 12st at 6ft something is on the light side but that's genetics for ya. They play a pretty big part of physical performance/ability and shape. I'm 5'8" and a few pounds over 11st, reasonably lean... I'd expect someone that's 6ft+ to be 13st+...... But also eating habbits differ so much. I know racing whippets that claim to eat shit loads but in reality they will go literally sunrise to sunset without touching so much as a round of toast, pretty much feasting in one or two sittings in the evening. WTF! hahaha. Cheers Mo..... LOL, I just come on here to talk about shit and vent my mind with others. I flick through the forums and occasionally something catches my interest but after a few years on here reading about it just gets a bit old. I blow hot and cold with hunting literature. This general talk section is the best bit imo, good bit of debate.
