Well you explain to me if it's a race or religion. Born hunter ? The only thing I wanted to explain to you was that Muslims and Pakis are not a race. You seem to have the rest figured out all by yourself. So you are going to act like a politician and dodge the original question born hunter ? Dodge? From what I can see they pulled out because the whole thing risked becoming a circus which would be of no benefit to UKIP or Farage. What should they have done to 'stand up' to them? Paulus, I'd take exception with that. Genocide is the systematic extermination of a given ethnic/racial/national group. Dresden was, to my understanding, a strategic bombing operation. It's purpose was not to wipe out a population but to cripple the German infrastructure and psychologically destroy the German people's will to go on. The same principle was used by the Nazi's with the Blitz and by the yanks with the A-bomb. But history has taught us that conflicting empires clash until dominance is established. the only thing stopping the middle east blowing up is the Yanks willingness to 'get involved' effectively keeps the order through their dominance. Remove Western intervention entirely and suddenly you have several conflicting states with none clearly dominant. I think keeping western governments dependant on Saudi oil is of more concern to them than spreading sharia. They'd drop all that bollocks in a heartbeat if it threatened their economic position, Imo. As long as the west needs the black stuff, the Saudi princes can be playboys and the Saudi defence chiefs can buy western bombs and bullets. Religion doesn't even register in these politics.

I think people fall into two camps regards fighting/violence. One camp is of the type where fighting is a means of settling a grievance or dispute, the other are the type that only consider violence in situations of defence. Depending on what the situation is surely depends on what rules you follow?

I don't think the MoD would/did. My understanding is that it's unofficial. Probably brought about by British troops sick of hearing how the yanks are the best in the world at everything when some of our lads have been there, done it and in some cases bettered it. It ain't a competition but credit where it's due. The RM sniper course is considered one of the hardest military courses in the world and I believe I am correct in saying that RM snipers have been responsible for setting up some of the US sniper courses (might be wrong). It's strange for me, I find the middle east culturally quite interesting, I think it'd be great to experience the cultures/traditions/places/religions/people of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Turkey etc. In fact I see that attitude as very defining of being British. As a nation, we have travelled the world over, learnt of much of the variety that the world has to offer and brought some of it back eventually incorporating into our own British culture.
