  1. Matey Targarean commander of the city watch, Doctor who, seems to be styled after Jaime Lannister. And obviously the young princess after Danny.
  2. I thought the way the played it was perfect. In fact I thought the start was too much, getting straight into the dragons. I want that GoT mundane slow burn and then boom they hit you with something you didn’t see coming. That’s what made it special and how they tied the mundane together to make you realise it was actually significant all along. Im looking forward to the rest.
  3. I just hope they can do this justice
  4. Bet ya do. I can see lots of Easter eggs and tie ins with the mythology of the first series.
  5. Who’s watched the first episode then? I was sceptical up to the second half, then they really nailed the GoT vibes! Especially the ending.
  6. True enough. There are unashamedly hunting/fishing/shooting series on Prime and Netflix. We'd need to take that to saturation. Absolutely bombard the place with marketing.
  7. When you see how 'the outdoors' is marketed in the US and NZ etc you realise how far behind we are with it. I think the problem we would encounter at this point is finding platforms that would allow us to spin such a positive version of it to the masses.
  8. 100%. I suppose I knew that the rebranding was needed, I just don't believe it will happen. And I'm way too honest for that salesmen game.
  9. We’re a nation of total f***ing whingers mate! LOL
  10. IMO one of the biggest problems we have and is one of the places we can make the most gains is simply putting a face to the 'evil'. Many of the people who either actively or passively oppose us have never met a single person who does a bit. This separation and impersonalisation makes it very easy to develop an image of us being essentially deranged and not human. Simply engaging with social groups that fit this type is a positive action imo. So long as you don't kick off by sharing pictures of chinless terriers.
  11. IMO there just isn't the space for the numbers we'd need and the world is fundamentally a different place, and only getting worse. I just think what we do, in the UK at least, is unpalatable in this modern world. We'd have to radically change the culture of our sports away from 'sport' and almost exclusively to a deeper more holistic culture of 'hunter gatherer' to stand a chance. And I honestly believe that is all but impossible. I think I've just kind of accepted that I'm part of a 'species' that is scheduled for extinction. Sucks, but whatever... If the days are numbered all the m
  12. Bring more into the fold f***ing hell, have you seen the size of the UK!? There's a lad on here that walks from one coast to the other on a morning coursing! There are ten million of them in the capital alone. Playing the numbers game in that way is a losing battle. We need to win hearts and minds, not get more folks in the fields imo.
  13. There is division within the countryside but the biggest problem is the division between the town and the countryside. Every year there are more townies and more voices that don't understand or accept what we do. And then they move into the countryside using their townie salaries like a f***ing cancer. IMO hunting is f****d because the electorate think it's outrageous and should be consigned to history. Driven shooting won't be many decades behind for the exact same reason.
  14. It was. Flights were half the price they are now though. But I do really want to get back. Africa is in competition with it mind. Hawaii would be where I'd go if I had the $$$$$.
  15. Surely it’s the one that preceded it that’s incriminating though. That’s just hearsay in court, no?
  16. Missed that. He’s right, some c**t will know. “Release the emails!” It did get me thinking whats the chances of the average anyone in the RAF having seen any sort of sketchy combat. And frankly, other than JTACs and chinook crews, probably very few since Bosnia/Gulf’91… Even RAF infantry have basically been made redundant by 16X.
  17. The RAF doesn’t have admirals. And the woman in question was a group captain.
  18. Actively target the demographics they want more of with recruitment but still treat applications in an egalitarian way.
  19. It's the cost of poults, wheat and fuel that has f****d them. Everyone still has birds around here, even a new one popped up. Dates came through last week.
  20. I also like a picture A few off hand, This one needs repeating
  21. f**k those pictures sparked a bit of excitement in me for the season. I'm actually keen to start mornings dogging in! Good to see you back. I take the same attitude with the south coast. Not living there keeps it special.
