  1. Farage was a massive supporter of kami-Kwasi's budget. The same budget that probably 95% of the electorate thought was mental and made Labour look electable. This isn't my personal view, just an observation. Farage only has one half popular policy, his others are lead weights around his neck at the ballot. Britain loves socialism!
  2. I think Hydrogen ticks a lot of boxes, either in the form of internal combustion or fuel cell. I don't think battery power will ever go away, but I don't think it will be the only way forward. With any of the above we still need a fundamental energy source. And imo that will be nuclear. Initially small modular fission reactors and eventually fusion. But oil and gas isn't going anywhere in a hurry, no matter how many Van Goghs get souped.
  3. You'll be sound. This will give you something to look forward to while dealing with sorting another job.
  4. Never had one and don't feel like I'm missing out tbf.
  5. That's notts mate. Khyber Pass kebab shop fined over human faeces contamination WWW.BBC.CO.UK A Nottingham kebab shop which sold food contaminated with human faeces is ordered to compensate...
  6. Anybody tried Crispi's? The Aussies and Kiwis seem to rate them? I tried a pair at the Game Fair and liked them tbf. I still reckon I'll go for another pair of Altberg Country boots though.
  7. Born and raised on the edge of Linc's. Still spend a lot of time there. I generally haven't much good to say about the f***ing place. However, it's a quiet part of rural England. Often you can feel completely alone there (in a good and bad way). Walking out early doors under that big sky has a charm I've only come to appreciate since leaving.
  8. Sorry, I forget how intelligent to patrons of this establishment are.
  9. Of course. I was meaning future cheats.
  10. I'd think they'd just adapt to using rocks, or simply stuffing them with other fish to fill their bellies.
  11. For the most part they were right though.... So much so they done $3M in winnings before finding a savvy official!
  12. LOL, you say that like there isn't a war going on. Bombing Kyiv was of no tactical value. Hence stating it's in retaliation is kinda significant.
  13. I see Russia bombed f**k out of Ukraine/Kyiv yesterday. I assume purely retaliation for the Crimea-Russia bridge attack.
  14. Seen that last week. Surprised they didn't get lynched. It'd be pretty easy to catch cheaters tbf, just keep records of fish weights and sizes and you'll spot trends of certain people having unrealistically heavy fish. Then spot check them in future comps.
  15. The bug bottom right was a fair lump. Long way off being a lobster mind.
  16. I don’t think anyone has claimed it. If it was UKR state they’d be all over it I’d have thought. The reason for its importance is because it’s the only bridge connecting Crimea to Russia actual. The bridge to the north is to occupied Ukraine, which is looking not so secure.
  17. Quite a strategic blow that bridge. Crimea is looking vulnerable. Also, seems like a potential suicide attack. Which is next level in this conflict.
  18. A fella I used to know, in his 70s now, told me a story about coming home from the pub one night with mates. They were driving a country lane in Notts and passed some randomer walking in the dark. One of them suggested murdering this stranger, for obvious reasons of there being absolutely no evidence really connecting them. The others laughed it off until he dropped it and nothing happened but the old boy who was recounting it said it sent shivers through him because he absolutely believed the psycho was up for it. Now whether or not that tale is true, these people exist, and the only thi
  19. Well if I’ve learnt anything about clandestine assassinations it’s to wait until your target is stood next to the president when you whack them. That’s the way to lose the Feds!
  20. Is there any truth that it’s a ‘thing’ that missing persons in national parks are killed by practicing killers? Mackem? You’re bound to have had a coffee with someone in the know!
  21. Fantastic series and amazingly not renewed for a third season. The main serial killing guy was the absolute spit of the real fella. Was fascinating getting, an albeit dramatised, look into his mind.
  22. One of my favourite times of year. I don’t get involved with all the keepering stuff anymore, but I love dogging in. I’m fortunate to have a very nice self contained signature drive to dog in on two minutes from home. Sounds daft but I have lads come over just to put a sensible number of birds in front of their dog. Its quite pleasing seeing three figures picked on the drive you have been looking after and have the keeper say in front of the whole line “that’s your hard work”. Which is of course modest nonsense, there’s much more to keepering than running spaniels about, but it shows genu
  23. Regular sicario you. 100% you’ll be on the badger cull… and everyone will have to hear about it.
  24. Because killing it would do absolutely nothing for control but probably weaken the quality of what is only a small population, and produce no meat of value. I’d have a fantastic head sitting in peroxide right now, which I’ve wanted for some time. But he wasn’t the one, not this time at least. On other land, I’ve took plenty of heads. But it is just that, taking a trophy. Any other reason is just an excuse. Took a muntjac doe off the same place tonight. That’s actual meaningful control.
  25. Absolute nonsense. You don’t control deer populations by killing dominant males. Real control is done in the winter months fella.
