You could try a bit of jealousy! Do a few sessions with a mate and another dog. Send your dog out first then send the other dog when he is half way there. If your dog knows he doesnt have time to mess about,it should make him pick it up a bit quicker rather than loose it ? . Just an idea? but it may work.

When was the last time he had a runner? If he has been scratched or hurt by a very much alive pheasant,he could be making sure it doesnt happen again ?

If its quality ,then look at SALROWBRA gundogs(Yorkshire) website,Some realy nice springers up for sale right now but will cost you £450 each . I have been looking for a while to replace my old dog and this is one of the best places I have seen .(and I am hundreds of miles away from the place !) All are health screened ,docked,dew clawed,micro chipped before you get them ,just adds to peace of mind . It realy depends on how much of a hurry you are in to find one . And what your budget is . I would suggest all of the above are good tips. The only thing different for me would be to allow the guys to shoot cocks only to start with . A, It keeps the interest up and at least you have something to go for. B, It allows the hens to establish themselves for the future . The more work you put into the ground,the more satisfaction you will get out of the ground. Good luck -

The pedigree system is fine !!! Its people that f *** it up. All in the name of money ! Dont complain about the system when there are thousands of bullx,s in rescue centres UK wide ! All responsibly bred of course ??? Take one page of dogs from THL.and see how often it says "only good working homes ",I bet only 10% at most go to good working homes ! The rest are sold to whoever comes up with the money first. Puppy farmers,Puppy scammers all the same thing .===== unwanted dogs

Why dont you take him to the vet and get him hip xray and eye scored properly ! Then send his blood to germany for DNA testing to make sure he isnt carrying the GPRA gene or CNM ? At least then anyone interested in letting you put your black labrador TYPE dog to their bitch will know that its all clear and healthy instead of passing on any kind of disease. Thats as long as the bitch is tested clear too ? (and if you dont bother to get yours done, why should the bitches owner bother ? you then have two dogs NOT tested) You dont need a pedigree for any of that ,and its promotes

How else is the "vet", going to verify it ? All he has are the micro chip and paperwork . Unless its one of my dogs ,and he will have the DNA as well .

"surely if an idependant vet certifies that there a pedrigree breed" How can a vet say they are a pedigree dog ? All he can say is yes its black and LOOKS like a lab ? Unless of course he has the paperwork and chip number etc etc . I also agree that there are loads and loads of good dogs out there without papers. Thats life !

This is actually lifted from a conceptual art piece by Chinese sculptor Zhu Yu. He makes realistic human organs, pieces of faces, babies and such and displays them like you would buy meat in the grocery store. They are indeed made from food products, you could actually eat them, but there's no human tissue in them. Someone must have taken those photos to generate this fake hype. We have written off over 500 acres because people keep walking their dogs through it !!!!! You put up a fence and they rip it down Same with signs of any discription . Then you find them in a new bit ,and when you ask them why dont they stay to the other bit ? They tell you NO! because its covered in dog sh1t ! :realmad: :realmad: :realmad:
