Its a Reconyx RC 55.If you get someone to send it from the states its a lot cheaper . http://www.reconyx.com/ Just a little more info on the camera , It took 1464 pictures in the four days !!mostly pheasants and rabbits .But 231 were Roe deer. Just take out the flash card ,shove it in the computer and view all the pictures ( I use Picasa 3 which is a free download and easy to use )

First they have to find it ! Next they have to get by the Python cable that locks it to the tree! I actually have two other cheaper camera's as well, so while they a trying to get one of them off they might be posing for the others ?????? If they ever did get a camera off the tree they wouldn't be able to use it because they are all coded and password operated . The fact is if someone is realy determined, they would eventually get it off , but would undoubtedly damage it in the process (no resale value !) The folk in the local village know that I have camera's up.They think I have six of them ! lololol and they don't want their dogs to be caught on film so they stay out of the wood !I also let the village kids see the pictures ,they think its some kind of James bond secret squirrel spy trap and they stay out as well !lolol One guy accused me of shooting his cat ! I showed him a picture of it 2 weeks after he said I shot it ! That kept him quiet !!! It still hasn't gone home ?? I wonder why ??? Great piece of kit with loads of possibilities . After buying myself an "all singing all dancing" IR camera. I decide to try and get pictures of Roe Bucks throughout the winter and into the spring next year to see the antler growth . I had heard that Roe were not very good at using purpose built feeders but decided to give it a go . The feeder is a six foot length of plastic pipe with a 45degree junction on the end and a top cap . Filled with barley . This is the result of the first 4 days (this young buck has NEVER seen a feeder before )lol

know what your saying but isn't the countryside and shooting about keeping the balance which just isn't happening just now so surely something needs to change wouldn't it not be good for stalkers to take more people out stalking for less money instead of it being by large a posh mans sport thus helping more country folks to shoot and eat deer kirky The key to the population is the Female ! My first answer without thinking about it too much would be that it wouldn't work ! It wouldn't stop poaching !! If accompanied stalking then the landowners would have to employ more people =more outlay,accommodation etc etc . If UN accompanied ,too many inexperienced people on the hill to mess it up for people that do know what they are doing .Plus how many people have the equipment to get beasts off the hill properly ? I don't know exactly how much it would cost to employ a full time stalker on your hill ground to include vehicles larders house ect ,but you wouldn't get much

I tend to agree with alimac on this one ! If they can reach their second breeding year its supposed to be a bit better ? But not many make it that far . Even a good wild hen has trouble! between vermin and weather she's lucky to get 1 or 2 out of a brood .

Just reminding folk what the origonal post was about . The guy is dead chuffed to be out with the rifle ,and rightly so ! It doesnt matter if he was wearing dayglow orange or sky blue pink !!! As long as he is happy with it ,and has some success who,s to say its wrong .? The thread now has sod all to do with it and should be split by the mods and let the bitchy stuff carry on some other place . Good luck with your stalking MUBZ2COOL .
