I don't know a great deal about coursing and wondered how the dogs are scored ? Following on from the other "Spanish coursing" I watched another from the list on the side . Pirata - Careta 2ª Carrera de la Semifinales Campeonato 2005 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUrntInGL1I To me this was an amazing run for the dogs .Anyway , The black dog was there almost all of the time and the other dog was trailing most of the time .BUT ! The hare was caught on the fence by the lighter coloured dog. Which dog would have scored best ? The one which ran the best ? Or the one which caught the hare ?

£350 is a bit steep don't you think? Looking at it, all it is is a £60 folding ladder with a seat and a rest bolted to it . Just like the one I am currently building COSTCO are doing a TRIPLE aluminium ladders at the moment for about £90. All you would have to make are three seats and rails ???? £30 a ladder ! Not bad . Worth thinking about ??

Hard work mate with long hours. Depends on the size of the rearing field but there is always feeding, bitting, setting up for day olds, washing equipment and catching up poults. This is a 7 day a week job lasting around 4 months but longer if the game farm has there own laying stock. Not a job for someone just interested in wages you just have to want to do it. Oh and there is no such thing as 9 till 5!! Exactly as above !! You could use the experience as another string to your bow . As my first headkeeper used to say!, "LOOK LOTS...SAY LITTLE " !

Anybody have the seeland keepers suit ? The one with the velcro fasteners to cover the welly tops . I have seen them in one of the shops recently and thought they looked ok .But how do they last ??

Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah! There must be someone in the same position as you with munties and / or CWD on their ground ? If you sort out a deal between the two of you , it could be the answer you are loking for ? It shouldnt be too hard to arrange that kind of thing through the site . -

This is a home study course . You apply and get sent the relevant material, and when you have learnt all of that . You get yourself to one of the test centres for the next stage .(taking the test ) You will have to do a considerable amount of study at home before you take the test (unless you know it all already and just want the test ? ). The two day course is just to brush up on the parts you may not be sure of and to take the written and shooting tests.

Any animal or bird that is not 100% will soon bite the dust in this weather .If a rabbit has mixi ,It wont last long .After the snow and frost have gone the density of rabbits should be down to a level where Mixi cant transfer easily .Then once spring arrives and the rabbits go back into overdrive ,lo and behold Mixi comes back again . The good thing about this weather is that it kills off all the weak beasts and leaves us with the healthy ones .We could do with harder winters more often .

This debate always gets bogged down by "WHO'S THE BEST STALKER "," I'm better than you ! " "They dont know sh1t", ETC ETC ETC . We have read about individuals ripping off others (but no names or ££££££amounts ?) New stalkers moaning at older stalkers and the other way round as well . Some claim they learn a lot and others claim its a waste of time ??.I have even fallen into the argument trap myself at times . If we could get rid of all the FOR and AGAINST bullshit and look at the bare bones of a Stalkers certificate .We might be able to come up with some idea how things would work b

Who needs ANTI 'S when we have cancer like this in our own ranks !!!!! Never been a keen follower of a stab in the back !!!!! Say's a fella that likened dog men to 'drunken oiks roaming the countryside' in a thread about deerstalking being made cheaper.... If you read the thread ,most intelligent people would have understood the way it was going !Then again , This is a web page ? (lots of hidden OIKS about ! )

You are quite right about the hip cost ! The highest I was quoted was £350 per dog ! I didnt take that one !!!!!lolol A vet came up from Edinburgh to Aberdeen to do the eye clinic .

That's pretty good for parents hip scores. I had my two done this year . Eyes tested at the vet clinic =====£48 per dog Hip xray and test Quoted from £350 per dog !!!!! (I managed to get it cheaper ) DNA testing for GPRA and CNM £150 per dog(blood sent to Germany)Clear. Thankfully both dogs have combined hip scores of less than 10 and both are clear for all the other tests. The cost does vary at different clinics but its still not going to be cheap. I have had dogs go bad in the past ! So personally, I wouldn't entertain a dog unless it was fully tested and clear !

The breakdown would be interesting if for Q1 , How many were actually professional stalkers that voted ? Q2 , No financial gain ? Do you mean they shouldn't be allowed to sell their deer ? Q3 , Better stalker ? (For NO ) have the people that voted done the course and dont think they are better ? Or not done the course and dont think they would learn anything from it ?
