    Very true whin-i've been around nearly half a century now and met a few myself! From an entertainment point of view though,If some books weren't "embellished" a bit they would not make a good read imo. Always allow a little artistic licence in books-and real life in a lot of cases!! The dog world is full of dreamers and fibs!

    I cant see how anything could be nicked of the forum? Ive seen posts repeating "30 years experience" "the old days" etc,but no detail to steal! Others claiming mass deer destruction with little lurchers-again no details to put in a book! This is not a dig at anyone,i just cannot see how whin could think that anyone could steal stories that aren't there? If a book was written on the back of the forum,it should be titled "PRE BAN"!!! Stop using that f*****g phrase everyone-it will not keep you out of jail!!!

    Surely if someone puts an idea or story in a book that they nicked off here or anywhere else,it means its a good one? I wouldnt have a problem with that. Now if only i could find a good post to rob.....

    Thanks, yeah he is first cross, he stands at 21inchs tts. Does everything incredibly, an excellent ferreting dog, and so easy to train and he is very game! I would like to put him over a whippet bitch, or a whippet greyhound. Put me down for a pup!Sounds just the thing for me-i need an apprentice for my old lurch to help out with my job.(pest control). Genuine crosses are quite rare.

    Hi mate .If its your first time training a dog get a good book and take it from there.Not saying it will all work out fine but it will give you an under standing of the basic,s needed to bring the dog on.atb. Catcher ive got one coming Brian Plummers Complete Lurcher any good? A lot of folks hate him,but he certainly knew dog behaviour and his books give sound advice on training and debunk some of the crap surrounding dog training.

If anything this cross seems to be getting more popular by the minute. atb stabba do ya know of any one who breeds good wheaton greyhounds [bANNED TEXT] wouldn,t mind one myself Me too! had a bitch 22 1/2" a few years back. One of the gamest dogs iv'e ever seen-died doing her thing.

    not all of lincolnshire is fens, only the low lieing flat land, theres are also wolds in lincs, the fens are also in parts of cambridgeshire and the west of norfolk I'm sure i heard someone mention a place called fen trap or something?
