    Top lads. They kept it together like pros! Notice the bullies didnt show their faces fully? the boys did the right thing not kicking off-i had a similar do with some "new age travellers" a few years back for being in their garden!! A field they set up camp in illegally! 5 of them tried to intimidate 3 of us but we were no kids and stood our ground pointing out the error of their ways (no violence luckily!). The cheeky b*****ds then tried to scrounge some rabbits from us! Sold them 2 for a fiver! Believe me it took all self control not to kick off completely. well done those lads.

    Tease and rag them with a fresh shot fox until they are mad keen to rag it every time they see it-they'll enter when they build up the fury to attack the carcase whenever they see it.

    If you read your post you may realize that is what i am saying-"he gave it a little shake" "trying to get him to retrieve a pair of socks-he was having none of it". The dog should be retrieving any thing you ask before it sees live game. "so i guess theres a start"- yes Mr Hunter, its the start of bad habits that are hard to break. And before you start calling people pricks etc. why post stuff on here then get pissed at folks giving perfectly honest opinions? If you cant take it ,dont post.

    A pup should be learning rudimentary training at that age. Learning to retrieve the dead rabbit rather than watching it chew a live myxy one and hoping it will retrieve it. Bad habits are are easier to prevent than correct.

    i contacted Philip King a few years back and he sent some pics. of his irish terrier lurchers. they looked like pretty powerful dogs that could handle most things.

    Recessive genes, good or bad can be carried through generations almost indefinitely and will crop up when 2 parents carrying the gene are mated.

    I think you'll find he is sponsored by realtree. Not the best example of terrier work agreed,but he is the best fox caller i've ever seen. the sounds he can imitate are unbelievable. foxes appear from nowhere! I've seen him call and shoot a dozen in a night.

    there are some very tidy looking bitches from the o.c. out there,have an UNBIASED LOOK. My dogs were Rupert bred plus a little Lucy , San and pip. according to your percentages should not be too good? very homozygous strangely! percentages are all very well but as im sure you know, when breeding animals of any sort, they dont always follow the rules. No more now thanks-the thread is heading for the usual slanging match that these things end up as.
