Which river mate ? Knock yourself up some traps they're dead easy to make. Tested wire against plastic a while back and the plastic outfished the metal.

Got some living in my shed. Found them on the trail cam, at least 2 baby's ( not sure what a baby hedgehogs called ???)

I can't remember what I paid 2 years ago now. The killing and cutting cost wasn't so bad it was the additional sausage price that hiked it up. I got my sausages done onto trays as I have a Holliday cottage up the dales and they go down well there. Got a feeling it was about £ a pig.

Depends on whether you can find a cheap food source. That's the expense along with butchering cost. If you can feed yourself on leftover veg,bread, fruit etc then your laughing. Also make sure you charge a good price for the end product. I've had to have vet out twice to this lot which has been £50 a pop which isn't ideal.

I've only ever kept Gloucester old spots so I can't say about other breeds. Mine have always been pretty docile excepts the ones I've got now which are nutters. First day they escaped into the deer park and were running with some big red stags !!Have kept boars and gilts and haven't noticed difference

It's pretty straight forward mate. I've found pigs pretty easy to keep from weavers up to killing weight. You need to apply for college number and heard number. Movements are all done online at Bpec. Hardest but is keeping the buggars in. Go for it.

My 3 old spots are growing well. Have left a neighbour to feed them for a few week and while I'm on my travels. This made me chuckle this morning, can't see me getting mine to the abattoir this way !

Good offer, thanks for that. Ive got no kit, knowledge or fook all though! Haha. What do you usually catch up there? It's cod and ling mate. He can provide all the kit,you just turn up. It's weather dependant though, if it's too windy it's a no go. I've had a couple of trips cancelled lately. If you want his details let me know.

You know what Tom, I was thinking about my 'Christmas eel' as I was fishing. The place looks 'eely' alright but unhappily there are no streams that close to it that I know of.......going to have a look on google earth now

Ive had my eye on this spot for the last few years. Its one of those relief ponds built by the side of the A1. Its taken a while for the vegetation and trees to grow to make it a little less public (i dont like an audience when fishing ).......anyway I drive past it most days and funnily enough even though it looks really 'fishy' there is an absence of 'NO FISHING' signs. Now this means that's it free fishing right So yesterday I parked up a little way away (car parked right next to it would kind of spoil the view) and climbed the fence. I set up with a little telescopic outfit and chuck
