Correct mate it is, had maybe a dozen yesterday, biggest went about 7lb but snapped off be a couple of bigger fish that took me into the kelp. Glorious day yesterday but today its blowing a gale and throwing it down !
Been up on the west coast of Scotland for a few days. Took the dingy out chasing pollock, great sport on lures trolled through the kelp. They don’t half pull back.
Back in the day when Leeds were in the champions league my mates sister lived with Lee Bowyer, his ability aside I always thougt he was a rat and we had cause to visit him one night as a result of something that had gone off between him and my mates sister.....any way team news came out on Monday morning he was injured ?..........we didn’t half get some stick for ruining Leeds chances in Europe that season ?
I remember when Big Ron Atkinson get sacked when he called MArcelle Decailly a ‘big feckin thick lazy nigger’........didn’t realise he was still on air and it was broadcast to the world !
We had some next to our place a few years ago but they didn’t do well and got some sort of lung disease so had to be shipped off down south, Yorkshire air didn’t agree with them but they were nice to see.
Dry fly is my preferred choice but asa you know you have to adapt sometimes. This river doesn’t get a run of anything silver but there have been plenty of tourists caught this last week with the lift we had last week. Should be some near to you.
