just seen it on sky plus, what i would do is move as far into the countryside as i could even thou were in a rural village as it is. as people when hungry can do funky things! i recon i would be able to feed myself but maybe not my whole family.. thou a freind of mine has a good bull cross thats a f****r for sheep so i would camp out with him and course sheep! i would like to think if i stayed in the village i would just shoot a cow or 2 and feed a few people or go down the beck and net a load of salmon! thou knowing my luck i would get caught lol

since 12 so about 10 years but the last 6 years has seen me hit a LOT of rabbits at night over a 50 was not to unreal a night! not now thou ime home five rabbits and ime doing well

top post. given my current situation then yes i would say ther are decent criminals i have worked full time since 14 and took a year for collage.work as a gamekeeper for nearly 7 years got paid off 6month back but did not and will not singe on the dole ive lived of my saveings for 6 months ive a clean record and dont drink ime not violent i would say i was a good lad (as would every one who knows me) but times get hard,dads ill mams ill rents behind dogs need vets ect i need food so i catch a couple of salmon to sell to help the house along and get nailed for it. am i scum? i dont think so

i think the other way around 100 year back you would have half the keepers from every estate (they had a half a dozen on most places) out on night watch, unless you use a lamp you aint getting caught think about longnetting and gate netting unless you are realy realy unlucky your home free! the most dodgy way is fish poaching because you have people out to get you at all hours!

1. break them into a warm bowl first never into the water from the shell 2. dont stir the water too fast 3. dont have the water too hot 4. slowloy puor the egg in dont drop it in! 5. always season well

now ime shure at some stage of all our hunting/fishing lifetimes we have all had a go with a ferret/dog/snare/rod net ect were were not ment to aybe even just a flick of the lamp over the hedge. or maybe soem of us in our younger days made a few quid from poaching, a lot of the older guys i know poached a lot after the war and needed to due to hard times. and reading books act it seems theirs some golden rules to follow. so hear would be mine set of five golden rules feel free to add your own. P.S this is a fun thread i in no way encourage poaching or breaking of the countryside laws!
