instead of elastic bands use bike inner tubes cut in to strips,, use a clove hitch to attach to the the peg,,, if you put the inner tube on the peg,,then clove hitch the running line over the peg,,, then double the tube back over,, this holds it Here's a clove hitch top right http://www.animatedknots.com/indexscouting.php To get it even your going to have to count every mesh I'm afraid,, and there's different measurements for different lengths of net,, depending if its 50 or 100 % bagging,, and depending on mesh size,,, TC is the man with measurements

I'm sure I read a few year ago he had hepatitis ,, not sure wich one,,, and he aparantly said he didn't want a transplant ,,, as he felt there were more deserving folk . Yeh I liked the film,, the book was better,, there was a comedian that did a few sketches about chopper,, they were funny.
