    after that post yesterday...went in to Nottingham and in to vicy centre ...food court thingy has a streetfood outlet....which keeps changing they have difrent foods on each week ...I had Kenyan barbeque ....slow roasted goat shoulder....so it was like pulled pork in concistancy on top of some flavoured rice....forgot what that was called....bloody lovely it all was

    heres another old pic.....andy is on the left holding Tara me red kelpie cross bitch....andy's son his holding his black bitch called Ginny....joe ox bred her and kindly gifted her to andys son when his bitch was sadly run over......ginny was out of andys Jack....grandson of blue....the dam to ginny was one of joes dogs...think it had bull and a touch of deerhound in...joe will obviously know more......we got exactly 100 rabbits that night...50 each.....one thing about Ginny was she had incredible staminar....a cracking dog to watch you just couldn't tire her out

    that's andy in the pic....I think the red dog is bulba.....but I could be wrong.....me and andy have had some great nights out....done the ton a few times me and andy and with his sons....its andys son whos holding Don on the other priviouse page..... if it is bulpa ....hes out of blue to a collie.....also bulpa is grandsire to Don....and my bitch Venus on the other page

    love curried goat... that dunns river seasoning is the best....you can get it in asda.....get some skinned and boned chicken thighs in a small roasting tin.. table spoon of olive oil drisled all over them a good sprinkle of the seasoning ...in the oven for 45 mins.....bloody great they are

    heres 1 more for ya...not the best pic....im on the left with the same bitch.....the young fella on the right is holding Don...he has the same sire as mine...a "minshaw " called jack...the dam to don was a farm collie...90 on this night exactly 45 each

    here you go madfox....this bitch has some "Minshaw " in her shes a great grand daughter of blue....that's me she caught 63 that night ...just me and her.....3 days later I was out with her again Darcy was with me and she had 42-43 ...he put that night in his books

    I think there were probably loads of breeds in the make up.....although I suspect heeler NOT being one....

    the story I hurd ....was he had split up with some girlfriend/wife......she said vic had fidled about with her daughter....(his step daughter)......but it all got thrown out of court ...she the ex mrs was lying ..... but who knows I wasn't there.....would hate for somone innocent to be labled a nonce......but equally would hate somone getting away with it

    pete betts was the head keeper then tats.....he hated dog lads...mind I think Welbeck being surrounded by pit villages and poaching miners had something to do with it...funny enough the two underkeeps I was working with had poached it as young lads....they told me never tell pete.....he was head keeper at a young age early 30's.... he died about 10 years ago from cancer I think....one of the lads on moochers told me...dingo dancer from worksop... but your right tats ...Welbeck was very hot for anybody chancing there arm...

    I grew up not far from whitwell........and lost a dog there back in the 80's went over the quarry edge chasing a rabbit....I was gutted... whitwell not far from Welbeck estate ..I did 6 month there on a yts working with the keepers....84 that was just as the strike ended

    you know though ...I read them tales of the old gamkeepers books....and a few other ones older......and they all complained about how tuff it was etc.....but then when you looked at what they got.....a house clothing allowance ...dog food...a few ton of coal a year...tips from the guns ....some of them especialy the head keepers often got a man and a poney and trap to take them round the estate on there rounds....one I read about even had a gardener tending to his vedge plot........oh and not to mention all the free game to eat then you got the poor b*****d working down the pit when they

    what book is that from bill..... he was in the thick of it living there.....not far from thetford where they prossesed all the rabbit skins in to felt I think it was for hat making.....read the figures once but have forgotten the exact amount but it ran in to the millions of rabbits prosseed each year.... elveden eastate was just down the road and they had a big team of warreners ....such was the population of rabbits around the breaklands
