  3. http://www.petsathome.com/shop/giant-rolly-wheel-by-savic-15898 Says on the box for ferrets, anyone used this model and did they use it?
  4. Might be different now, but 30 years ago, I went to a local Lurcher show, don't think there has been another since, There was a lad from Ayr selling genuine first cross Whippet X Bedlingtons, £10 a Pup, he had the sire and dam with him, I took a chance and bought a Bitch. Best £10 i have ever spent absolute cracker one of the best dogs i ever owned.
  5. Quote, Worker or not, oh well i wouldn't be taking any of your stock that's whats wrong too many using this site, are not bothered about good worker to good worker. more interested in looks. you lot are the last i would use to put into my stock.
  6. If this bitch hadn't been bred off, im sure she would have made a good rabbiting dog. A bitch should not be bred out of until she hits 4 or 5 . Hopefully someone will give this dog the home it deserves.
  7. Im sure it shouldn't be hard to find a dark coloured polecat that is a really good worker. I would give that a try, and if you cannot find, and are determined to breed, then just go for any type of Hob as long as its a decent worker. Me personally, size of the Hob is a priority over colour, as i like a smaller type hob.
  8. I worked with Joe for three years, in a local Hospital, where we were both nurses. He certainly was a character. We also fished together a few times, I remember Joe and I working a ward on night shift, just the two of us, WhenJjoe produced his new book, There Learning Chain. Joe tried to sell me the book at full money. And put in the following, if ye buy it, i will also sign it, which i thought was a cracker, coming from someone who had worked with me, and as I say fished together. Joe was also a very good artist, at the time I used to Badger him to draw my Whippet X Bedlington, typical
  9. I don't know what the photo were, but if they were very young kits, they all look the same at that age, so i don't really see the point.
  10. At 6wks he weighed 5lbs, i know it sounds as if I am pushing the sale of these two dogs, just glad two see two decent pups coming on here, The dam is a cracken rabbiting Dog, and the Whippet sire is one of the best looking Whippets i have seen, a powerhouse well muscled, and is 100% on his game. They are well bred and reared.
  11. A black one with white paws cracking dog, owner of the stud dog recons it could hit 22 or 23.
  12. I have booked one of these Pups,CR is one of the genuine dog men, he looked at a few Whippets till he found the right dog. i have been to see the Pups twice, they are well socialized and good food pumped into them. They have all been booked bar these two. And they are for sale, at a workingmans price.
  13. I will be getting my 10wk pup soon. and rightly or wrongly, i will be feeding four meals a day, two of raw Beef Mince and two of Gain Puppy Feed 28 percent. Will include a little veg to the meat. when he is a little older will start feeding two raw Chicken wings for breakfast. I can also pick up lambs hearts and lamb ribs at the cheap bit on the butchers shelve at my local Supermarket. once a week will feed oily fish. if anyone would wish to add to the above regime, or have a different method please do.
  14. mrpit on here sells it, and the follow up.
  15. Nice looking Bitch, you should have a lot of fun together, having had beddy crosses for a lot of years, its my opinion there's no Beddy there, but who knows I could be wrong.
  16. Anyway, ive just bought two bags of the free flow mince, that will do my new Pup when he comes, as im trying to get the rid of the Rabbit to the Ferts, to make room for my next DAF delivery, Nice one Sirius wish i lived near you, Daf is the only one who delivers in my area, and none of the local pet foods sell raw, except for PAH who have the prize choice range, as say buying from them is expensive, but handy if you run out of raw.
  17. Bitches will always put weight on after being Spayed. I would recommend you simply cut down the volume of food fed to your dog and get the exercise right. Re; Chicken mince, yes it can be good stuff, but try and source good quality as some stuff I have seen looks like mushy soup once defrosted god know where it comes from. I use a Chicken & Tripe free flow mince from Prize Choice, it works out with my discount around £2.98 for 2kg and it good quality. Without discount the price choice free flow beef, is only available in my area from Pets At Home £5 for 2kg of Beef. but i can bu
  18. Interesting to see Ballyregan Bob in the breeding, I could be wrong but was he not a failure when used at stud in the Greyhound game?
  19. So do a few on here, but the ones powerful enough they are looking for £400 second-hand.
  20. I got a delivery of beef recently, from Durham Animal Feeds. And the driver told me they cant get Rabbit.
  21. Years ago i dealt with a game dealer from Ayr, who covered my area, then i got 40p a rabbit just as it was, not gutted, put in the freezer in rows. i had three chest freezers, I was snaring, ferreting, Lamping and netting. and I would go out with the local keeper, my job was to open and shut the gates, and I kept the rabbits, on some good nights he could shoot 60. then Maggie Thatcher allowed China to bring in one million process rabbits, cant remember if this was weekly or monthly. The market collapsed and the game dealer told me he couldn't take them. i remember asking him where th
  22. Or give them to you workers, who put them in your bag, in the first place. Your Dug and the Ferts. Id rather give them to them to eat than some robbing gamedealer.
  23. None of the butchers in my town will not touch them, because of health rules, one butcher told me if he got a visit and found a rabbit or feather in his back shop, he would be closed down. ive tried them all, but with the same answer, not bothered as not in for big numbers, they get fed raw to the dog and ferts.
