  1. Only judged once, years ago under 23 class, I picked out a wee stunner for first place, afterwards i was approached by a rather hefty Lady, who demanded to know why her dog was not given first, and that she was going to get her man to sort me oot, That was my one and only, not worth the hassle.
  2. have you had a look on Ebay, there's usually a few on there, different sizes and design.
  3. I use netriggers top class highly recommended, sound Man to deal with. And i don't buy rubbish.
  4. Its the old statement if it works why fix it, wood has been used for years, if made of ply it lightweight tough as old boots, doesn't heat up, or get cold. Appears well made, but as been said, don't like the doors, looks to me that rain would enter, and at £45 which probably isn't unreasonable for the materials and work that has been employed, you can pick up a wooden one which will do the same job and be a lot cheaper. may be better if you designed Dog transport boxes for cars.
  5. At the top of the page there's a pinned page of lads that knit nets, all appear to get good reviews on their goods, and I don't think you would need to worry about sending them a cheque etc.
  6. if there's a greyhound Flapping track near you, there's usually someone who sells all types of food, I get my gain from my local track.
  7. Tc, It may be all in the mind, and you could be right, i have the two types the straight and the bow, I always feel the bow is the most comfortable.
  8. given Dolpac from Vet, for mixed parasitic infestations, haven't come across this product.before now.
  9. Looks nice work how much lighter would it be to one identical made out of ply.
  10. dont know whats its like down your way, but hear ive never seen any flies yet, should be okay there's not much meat in a chicken wing so she should eat it okay, and you just lift the bones.
  11. Some good marking there, what i really liked about my old Whippet X Bedlington, and you cant teach this. she would silently mark, then lie down behind the bury waiting for the bolt, after a bit, if there was no bolt, and a dig was on, she would slink off, without you noticing, after the dig you would find her waiting behind the next occupied bury. she did this all her working life, what a time it saved and put more bunnies in the bag. She is sadly missed.
  12. never thought i would be writing this, having fed all my Dogs in the past with Cooked meat biscuit and supplement, my last dog i fed mainly raw. My new Pup 3/4 Whippet X 1/4 Bedlington, I decided just to feed the above Gain, only other ingredient is Goat milk, Pup is 10 wks 13 inches and 7 kilo, feeding four meals a day, three with the milk added and supper just the complete. have to say im really pleased with outcome pup finishes every meal is full of life, in great nick, and a nice shiny coat. don't think I will only feed him complete, as when ferreting starts Will be feeding raw rabbit
  13. best marker I ever had, this might not look like a mark, but she has marked the bury in front of her, and did her usual lying quietly behind, waiting for the bolt. ferreted till she was 9 cant ever remember her telling a lie.
  14. Very good LC my vet wont inoculate till 12 wks. just weighed and measured. hight 13 inches. weight 7 kilo
  15. Very alike, 3/4 Whippet 1/4 Bedlington. they only difference mines has 1/16th Greyhound. ATB with the pup excellent Rabbiting cross Is yours out of CRs litter.
  16. Dont feed cat food, not made for ferrets, buy complete ferret food in Summer, when flies are about. no need to whisk egg, just crack over complete, they will demolish it. in Winter months feed Rabbit. that's my feeding regime, you can of course use mince chicken wings etc if you wish'
  17. Cheers Gaz, Will you use anything to keep heavy rain hitting the meshes?
  18. Gaz, Whats the dimensions in feet and inches? Hight, Length and Width?
  19. I just let them round the warrens and watch there reaction, then at 7 months i take them ferreting and they watch the rabbits hit the nets, and hopefully they will pick it up, my Whippet was positive marking at 6 months. If your dog does mark don't praise or he could start false marking to please you. i put marking as the main function of a rabbiting dog, as it saves you a lot of time, and therefore puts more bunnies in the bag. although I do like the chase and catch. Some may have different methods, but this has worked for me.
  20. The older you get, you do start to appreciate things more, me personally now, im not bothered about the numbers game, as long as i am still fit to get out, im happy with my 4 and 5 ferreted rabbits, and watching a dog and the ferrets work. Personally don't see the point of these, how many rabbits, Hares foxes is the most you have taken. but maybe that's me, in 42 years of hunting I have caught a lot of game, but never seen the need to lamp 100 Rabbits in a night.
