  1. Never having owned a Suluki, I take it they have good feet? as some of the Whippet X Greys do seem to have this trait, before being bombarded with posts saying mines are okay, I did say some, Even having just pre booked a registered Whippet, if the Suluki crosses usually have good feet, then I also would see nothing wrong in using a Whippet X Grey working or Racing strain.
  2. Goldie Mule this is the Bird who was attacked by the Sparrow hawk, now back to full fitness minus half a tail and whistling.
  3. He is still not 100per cent, he was whistling this Morning, but not what he used to, but I am just happy he has made a good recovery, if you had seen this Bird you would not have given tuppence for it to survive the night, when I put him outside again, I will not leave him for a minute thanks for all the replies it has been appreciated :victory: .
  4. The Sun Newspaper is a disgrace, these Tinker families were living off the land and camping in the Summer, they were not dealing Dope, or claiming benefits, although I don't think its right killing Summer Hares, they were eating them, and they did have six kids, Good luck to them I say, and I agree with Whin if indigenous Peoples are allowed to kill Whales what's wrong with Ancient Tinker families taking a hare.
  5. I watched it, was a good programme, more factual, on the life of a Traveller, unlike Gypsy wedding, the Coursing was shot on the Island of Islay they had two dogs running the Hares on the Month of May one looked liked a Lurcher to lurcher the other, Suluki Greyhound they filmed the catching of one, but they had caught Three, the Hare looked an easy catch, one it was May, and two it would never have seen a Dog, on their defence they said they were caught to feed their Family, and the next day it showed them eating a stew, which I presume was Hare Before the Coursing they were filmed asking the F
  6. # Ascorbic acid, also called Vitamin C, is a naturally occurring substance that is important in the formation of collagen. # Ascorbic acid is manufactured by most animals, except for some birds, fish, guinea pigs, fruit bats, and primates (and humans.). # In dogs and cats, ascorbic acid is manufactured in the liver and normally does not need to be supplemented. Claims that nutritional deficiency of ascorbic acid causes scurvy in dogs and cats are probably inaccurate. # The only situation in which ascorbic acid deficiency might occur in dogs and cats is in the case of liver disease, which mi
  7. Well he is a lot better today, think he has turned the corner, he is back to eating his seed, did notice he has a slightly sore leg and has lost half his tail feathers. My last question is, will he sing again, as I have said this is the best singer I have had, and since the hawk incident he is total silent?
  8. Well he was still there in the morning half his tail feathers have gone, I saw him drinking, and I offered him some Broccoli which he nibbled, but he has not left his perch to feed, as his feed tray is near the bottom of the cage, so I went and got him a honey stick and he seems to have had a very small nibble,he still does not look happy but at least he is still alive, its strange not hearing a cheep from him, as he was a cracking whistler.
  9. And South West Scotland, I would have to travel 90 mile to race my Whippet.
  10. Any advice, My Godie Mule was outside in his cage, when I popped into the house for five mins my wife said that Bird has gone Quiet, I dashed out and there was a female Sparrowhawk on top of his Cage, I chased it off and he was lying on the floor of his cage, even after bringing him into the house, the hawk returned twice, anyway he looked in shock, I held him in my hand I put him on the perch, and he started fluttering in the cage he settled on his perch, I put the cover on his cage and have left him, but he still does not look happy, don't know if he will survive the shock,is there anything
  11. Cheers for that MR C Warren always wishing to be trendy, will look at Dylon colour range. Was it a Hot or cold dye?
  12. Excellent advice, from the Lads, you call also have a look at the DVD Purdeys progress by David Sleight, lots of training tips.
  13. Thinking of Dyeing some Hemp nets does anyone kno a good Dye for Hemp, would the Dylon work?
  14. Australian Formula, a lot of the greyhound men swear by it, the other two that they use is Gains, and Red Mills.
  15. Ran Beddy crosses for years had a Bitch bred out of Newcombes Blue to a track greyhound, but my favourite was a Whippet X Beddy,
  16. I was invited out with Keepers years ago, I was running a Whippet X Greyhound I found them an easy quarry in the end, I leashed the dog.
  17. I would not rush into breeding, if you go on the Working Whippet Forum, there are a few Litters about, some just born, and some more planned.unless you have something special, you may be pushed to find working homes, unless you have already got a few inquires.
  18. Whats that you have placed over the string on the lure machine?
  19. Any views on Prize choice, that they sell in Pets At Home, they do freeflow Lamb, Beef, chicken, Chicken & Tripe and Tripe,I know PAH is expensive but I just have the one Dog, Has anyone tried it, and is the quality good. My local Butcher sells Dog food in pound packs but sells them £1.per pound.
  20. As Deben are not willing to do anything to improve the connection, maybe its about time some other firm started making them, I have also heard that Deben's after sale service is shit.
  21. Thank you for your interest in Tracer Lithium Battery packs. I have just checked with our service department and out of the thousands sold we have not had a single return due to a connection problem. We have had feedback that there may be a potential problem and have passed this to our engineers as we do all customer feedback. As far as I know there are no plans for any immediate changes. Received today from Deben. This was the email I received from Deben, after reading posts on here about connection problems with these batteries,as they are expensive, and if you are forking out that amo
