    iv only had one decent terrier so far never stayd til dug an done everything i asked bit of a late starter he was a deamon from 12mths when showed short but i couldnt get him to travel and after some advice from a seasoned terrier man and a lot of hard work he found and dug his first fox at 19mths and never looked back 2 great seasons i had with him til i lost him in a 4ft handy hole suffocated with charlie in a pocket iv had plenty since and one or two have done there job well but there you go

    Why??? pet russells are selling for £250 or more. £175 is a fair price just because they aint getting smashed up every weekend doesnt mean they aren't good in their own right im not talking about dogs gettin smashed up 175 is a fair price for a working dog your talkin about a pup out of dogs doing what a cat could do

    give him to some one for a pet or put to sleep no sense wasting your time at that age they should be after anything no matter what the ground is like

    depends on the dog and the breed some breeds mature quicker for work like the bull x they are more or less ready to start there education around 13 or 14 mths but somthing like irish terrier or collie are a bit later to mature maybe 19 or 20 mths but this is only my opinion some dogs are just mad for work from no age these are the special ones and the most easy to ruin

    i had the plesaure of owning a gs cross a few years ago he was a 3quarter grey 1 quarter gs and he was a demon in the field there was no reverse gear in this dog i tell you but sadly i bought the dog from an old boy who was big into hunting but big into drinking as well when he went on the drink he sold everything and when he was off it he always had diffrent lurchers and terriers so you never really knew the back ground to the dog any way i was only a young fella and my funds where limited so i bought the dog and thought i touched lucky but it turns out the dog had never had his injections an

    the hounds broke on a fox that slipped out that no one seen 2 years ago they went on ground we had no permission for despite our efferts to stop them a farmer shot 2 they were not in any feilds with live stock and the police told us they could do nothing i would like to have seen there reaction if i had shot a sheep or somthing by accident

    the hardest terrier i ever owned was a parson type il try and put a pic of him up a real good fox dog i was running burrows for a farmer near me and on the way back to the yard after no luck he went into a real deep hole we couldnt line him with the old 15ft box we were at a loss of what to do the farmer was not to keen on me using a digger as where the hole was if we had of done some real digging his yard could have came down the bank so all i could do was wait after 3 days i got the dog laying out side the hole on my coat further more about 3ft in the entrance to the hole was a dead vixen it
