    i will keep my eyes open there is a rescue center near me always have lurchers i will check in there tommorow after work, like the lad said above try all the pounds my mates turned up nearly 2 weeks later at a pound near guisbrough she had hopped the fence, atb i hope you get him back

    i suppose i would fit this category also. me and my mate get out when we can, when work allows and weather allows, we travell 45 minutes an hour to our permissions so we dont waste our time when the conditions are shite, though often when we turn up they have turned shite! we get out once a week twice max and its all lamping. if that makes me a point and slip merchant i can live with that, atb

    no probs mate, yeah thats my mates old girl 24" she was a fantastic dog she lives on the sofa now and comes lamping every now and again. atb lad

    i have started my bitch at 8months but im no expert at all this being my first pup. she has had about 4 short nights about a week apart. i will continue taking it slow, mentally she is very mature but physically she is still growing and maturing, so maybe i should of waited. live and learn.. atb mate

    unreal sam, all our permission is sheep fields and paddocks there a fair size but not the sort of thing saluki types usually run on. that old bitch of my mates excelled on this land thats why i got one. our 2 being quite whippety aswell the grass is ideal. atb

    nice one mate great for such a young dog. my bitch is the opposite if she misses she runs about all over! she has been hard work from day 1 but were getting there now. shes only 8 month and had a few short sessions and getting better with each. her speed is frightning though, once we iron a few mistakes out she will be a little demon. atb mate

    i have a young 8 month pup matey so my season is going to be a steady one had our first proper lamping session last weekend we had bags of rabbits to go at but i didnt want to over do it with her, i gave her a good few runs all easy squatters and she was keen as mustard, just lacked the strike of an experienced dog, she caught 1 out of about 10 runs!! not great i know but shes young and were both learning. atb lads

    same as above buddy just ask for permission to use ferrets and go from there. its not easy mate and being 16 as you say wont help but you will get there mate just keep trying.. good luck lad

    i allso have 1 mine has a touch of irish terrier back the line.they have it all fearce speed stamina great feet great turn good coat and mine allways seems 2 have an extra gear she slaughters rabbits on the lamp and ferreting take hares during the day take fox never tried on deer as i dont hunt them mine is 24tts and a strong bitch. sounds exactly like the bitch i mentioned and she to was never tried on deer, cracking on everything else. same height as yours aswell get a pic up mate i will get a pic of ours on. atb lad
