    im not against shooting by any means but these strong fit hares, i wonder how many of them are shot in 1 leg or wounded and live to run another few hours? these people that write articles condemning the coursing of hares should give there heads a wobble and explore the other means of controlling them. sorry paul going off your topic there, i wouldnt know where you would stand mate, atb

    shes only 9month mate, time will tell but tbh she will be a lamping dog anyway. shes been out a handfull of times and about 5 runs each time but shes hooverd them up. 23" and shes a little rocket so perfect for my needs. atb lad

    hello mate, as you will find out in the months/years to come its not easy to get. just persevere though and as long as you look after the land your mooching about on and your not a numpty, you will keep your permission and hopefully pick a few more up. good luck mate and atb

    weve been lucky really i have never come accross anyone while out lamping, strangely enough though the farmer rang me the other day to tell me not to come up for a while a farmer in the village has given some idiots permission and they have caused all kinds of havoc and we should stay out the way till its sorted, so we dont get nicked or filled in. pain in the a*se we been there a few years now. atb

    my bitch kills them mate and stands there proud as punch until i get there. she will not retrieve i stood there for about 10 full minutes and being a saluki x she won the stuborn test and i gave in. shes young and i will hopefully win her round as she matures, sorry i cant be of any help atb mate

    aye mate its not easy, between myself and my mate we have enough permission to keep 2 dogs lamping once/twice a week when were both off work. we would love more to keep it varied but as you say its not easy to get. how i personally go about it is to ask to do a bit rabbiting for them with ferrets and mention that we take most rabbits at night with our small whippet crosses and are we ok to come at night?. our dogs are 23-24" lurchers with a dash of whippet so were not lying, they just sound less like sheep munching machines. we have been fortunate and the land owners are nice people we just ri
