There are no hard and fast rules as to the size a dog needs to be for rabbits...Pure deerhounds at 30inch+ can pick rabbits up with ease...As Bird rightly said in his post..its down to the conditioning of the dog that counts..atb stabba

I use the see through plastic they use on fridge doors or warehouse entrances...lets a wee bit of natural light into the kennel...although this time of year they are removed to let cool air in....atb stabba

Rabbits are a pest and should be treated as such....If that means all year round control then so be it...Its the lads land..dogs..ferrets so let him decide if he should summer hunt or not...Just because most of us dont do it doesnt make it wrong....Rabbits need to be controlled whether its summer or winter What you going to do when the farmer rings and says he needs em shifting..tell him no you,ll wait till winter..a sure fire way to lose land. Pest control is pest control whether its with guns..snares..ferrets or dogs...let the lads get on with it because its their land..atb stabba
