I don't live too far from you, I wouldn't mind tagging along and helping where I can but I don't have a dog of my own. I will have (all going well) in the next 6 months when I have moved house. I just have 1 untested ferret at the min but I can see how she goes

used to go ratting with my pointer, not really unusual though as most dogs can be used for ratting but he knew when they would bolt better than most dogs so was surprisingly good! Didn't mind getting bitten he was used to it from the ferrets He managed to catch a fair few bunnies bushing about too. I think mst dogs can do most things if you have the time within reason. Don't really see the point in buying a dog specifically for something it was never meant for though...

I can't get my head round what the dogs will be for? The BM seems to be one of the best catch dogs, whilst a presa is a good man stopper. But crossing isn't going to give you both, it seems you have either a quick agile dog OR a big strong scary b*****d. So what is the benefit of watering down both sides for an all rounder when you canhave two dogs to be the best at two jobs? Not having a go, just curious what the dogs will be used for and why

Hunting has saved me a lot of money. A weekend ferreting bagging 40-60 or so bunnies to fill up the freezer kept the ferrets fed and extra food for the hawks. Now I just donate them to the zoo (only got 1 ferret and a rifle now) where the mrs works (they do offer 50p each but I never pay admission to look round so it seems fairer to me)

I can't work out if I am racist or not. The way I look at it is to think of all the countries in the world I could call home, Australia springs to mind, a few EU countries like sweden and maybe the USA if I gained a few stone. But they all have one thing in common, they are full of white people. Japan is perhaps the only exception to the rule I can think of. Why is it that everywhere black people go the country is barbaric and they starve to death to afford guns? Even when they live in the West they make up all the crime statistics and the lowest incomes etc. It has nothing to do with the land

It's weird to think you all seem to call yourself 'dogmen'. If you knew the first thing about dogs then you would know it's down to the owner and the owners responsibility to socialise it. I am of the opinion nurture trumps nature with domestic dogs and can't see why one of these could turn out to be a good pet. Pretty f*****g useless for anything else, but so are 99.9% of dogs in this country. £3000 is a joke I agree and they will probably get bought by wankers. But let's stop blaming dogs for human error. Rotties have a terrible rep but I think they are 100% trustworthy in the right hand

I am selling a bsa ultra setup, everything you need including filler bottle & comes with two scopes. It's 177 and less than a year old, absolutely mint and I will give you a money back guarantee to prove it. I wanted for £400 but have dropped it to £375 for a quicker sale. pm if you might be interested

Apparently quite a few of them own houses in Ireland anyway, why the f**k are they in England? They also claim to have spent up to 2.5 MILLION on the site! How can they afford that on benefits? They are scum who have built on greenbelt land funded by crime, they are lucky to only get evicted they should be locked up. Then they cry racism and 'ethnic cleansing' which is just giving me ideas! They don't have a leg to stand on (unless they nicked one) and it's already going to cost £18 million to clear them out, imagine what that could have done for the community? Although it's a good investment

That's what they call me 'the reeper of the rats'. Like a fecking shadow, a ninja who assassinates small mammals with the power of the terrier. When I joined I was mad keen on ratting with terriers, I didn't put any thought in to it because I never thought I would post much. Wish i had atleast called myself Rat Reeper but I was too lazy. I prefer running dogs anyway...

have you ever not been paid for a job you've done
Ratreeper replied to judge2010's topic in General Talk
I have never been self employed. Just wanted to comment that asian people won't deny that haggling is in their nature. They love it, it's part of their culture and I used to sell them enough cars to know (when I got the short straw, there's only so long you can ignore them). Just like it's part of their culture to have sex with kids, abuse women and hate everyone who doesn't believe in their God. You lot are a bunch of dirty racists for not liking them for it! Wankers! -
nothing to worry about. I might buy all the salt I can afford now and make a tidy profit after day 1 and the councils have run out

For Sale BSA Ultra kit 177, 2 X scopes, Bag & Filler Bottle £400
Ratreeper replied to Ratreeper's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
still up for grabs, I can't believe no-one wants a full setup less than a year old for £375, delivered and guaranteed! Where can you get a better deal I need to check it out when I can afford a new rifle! -
I love JRT, one of my favourite breeds actually. But they can also be the most annoying when they aren't worked/exercised/stimulated. Poor little buggers don't know what to do except bark and change direction. It's always bad owners as we all know. But bad owners who treat their dogs like children often get dogs from the 'toy' category. However these normally have proud roots. So I would generalise and say I don't like any breed that has been ruined. Like most american dogs, most terriers etc. Perhaps another strain can be bred for pets, but pet dogs should be bred for temperament not looks.

A tip for anyone with third party F&F is get a quote for fully comp. Mine was £300 cheaper fully comp, the logic being third party seem to be more wreckless drivers/younger I think. Seriously though try it.

THATS AS LIKE DOWN HERE,I WAS TALKING TO A LADY WHO HAD A GOOD 8 DOGS WITH HER ALL AT A TENNER A HOUR,SHE WALKS THESE DOGS TWISE A DAY SO JUST THERES 160 ADAY GREAT JOB, POUND AN HOUR Must have some well off customers, £20 a day X 20...£400 a month? I would imagine most people tend to want their dogs taken out midday though so I doubt you could work a full day. But if you can get enough dog-friendly dogs walking together at a time then you might make a living working 2 hours a day. Seems too good to be true really.

I forgot I made this thread, thanks for the replies. I am not out of work, but I leave at 7:30am and get home anything between 6:30-7pm which is a long day for me, nevermind a dog shut in doors/kenneled. It just wouldn't be fair on it. I need to sort my financials out for a while and I will hopefully give dog walking a go. I just need to save enough to cover bills for the first couple of months while I start out I think.

I live near peterbough, cambridge, If you live near Newark then I can drop it off free of charge! (I might be heading that way anyway soon) -
As title suggests, full kit including bottle, adaptor, 2 scopes, bag. Rifle is in as-new condition and has barely been used. I haven't had it very long, I just need the money because I was off sick from work for 6 weeks. I can drop it off within reason or meet half way for long journeys. I would also give a money-back guarantee if you want so you can take it to a gun shop and get it checked out. If there is anything wrong with it you can have your money back. I would say a week would be fair? Photo below showing one scope, I don't have a clue what it is. It has an illuminated reticle that

I'm not an expert, but I would say it's more the individual breeding of the dog on whether it will be suitable. I used to have a rotty and they have such a bad rep that most people stay away. They are instantly recognised unlike something like a presa etc despite looking just as intimidating. He wouldn't bark constantly (3-5 loud booming barks then he would wait for a reaction), but was extremely protective and had great instincts on when to act. For example he never reacted to anything when I walked him, but if my girlfriend took him out he wouldn't let any f****r near her. No need to go ove

they cut their own fingers off, I doubt many are from fights. They lose a digit when they make a cock up. There must be a joke in there somewhere...
-
If they quote £500 say you got offered £250, they don't usually even pretend like they can't match it. Direct Line have been the best for me so far, I had a honda civic type r at 21 and my insurance was cheaper than a 1.6 peugeot 306 I had with churchill the same year. Just haggle!

I hate waking up in the morning, I really hate someone trying to drag you out of bed in a rush. I don't wake up properly for a couple of hours which is odd because the first 1 1/2 hours I am driving to work.
