  1. im the same , and i just close my eye , couldnt be bothered trying to learn with both eyes open . Me to! I sometimes keep both eyes open if im shooting the left tower, then swint my left eye it when i come to aim and fire. What I find sometimes is that if I close the left eye, i pick up on the clay a bit later than some people as i dont see it until my right eye picks it up, so my technique is to bring the gun around quick, catch up with the clay, pass through it, then pull the trigger. You have to have quick reactions, but it works for me. Right tower is fine! Other technique
  2. Ive been looking for a non fac Rapid or Daystate and nearly all the ones I see which come up are FAC! They seem more common than the non-FAC versions! Id seriously look at that .20 if you can, as they are apparently very good in .20.
  3. Im thinking of all the council tax & rent this guy saved from living on someone elses land rent free for 12 months and wondering if I can get away with doing the same!
  4. The way she is grinning would suggest she has!
  5. Ive got the hawke 600 one and it works well for me. Think i paid about the £140 mark for it a few years back.
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LARGE-CAST-ALUMINIUM-PLAQUE-LAST-SUPPER-CONSERVATORY-GARDEN-FIGURE-GIFT-PROP-/180997983582?pt=UK_Antiques_DecorativeAntiques_Collectables_EH&hash=item2a24520d5e One on ebay and bloke wants $120 for it.
  7. You always get people like this. Im one of these people who bend over backwards to help people out and I think sometimes people take advantage of that. I *had* a mate once who was always on the phone to me about his computers, so id go around and fix them - never charged him, id service his car, I helped him move house twice, I helped his parents move house, he called me up once broken down in middle of nowhere and I went & got him. I gave him my old hifi system for free & my old computer for free. I remember going to Leeds once and picking up a truck which I drove all the way back
  8. This masked magician guy actually shows how most of these tricks are done, incl walking through glass. Most of dynamo stuff has been copied from Criss Angel. Still, I think for a lot of the tricks Dynamo does, his presentation is extremely good. Although he employees a lot of assistants and actors who pretend to be members of the public so the person he is playing the trick on believes what they are telling him.
  9. You can see halos and rings around lights. But then again, likewise, sometimes if its sunny that can irritate your eyes - according to my mate who had his eyes done earlier in the year. Like the others on here say tho, he says its the best thing he`s ever done. But then he couldnt get on wearing contact lenses, so he`s always had to wear specs.
  10. I bet!! that was probably the bargain of the century! Hope you get something sorted out.
  11. Ive looked into this loads of times as i wear contact lenses. My lenses cost me about £15 a month and the surgery costs 800upwards. My mates just paid £2000 for his. So thats a lot of months before id break even financially on what id save on lenses. My mate ummmed and arrred about having his lazered for a long time. All these "offers" on the net... buy one get one free, £395 per eye etc... all sounds dodgy as anything to me. He said he turned up for one interview and the surgen said he can do it for £395 an eye or £800 an eye for a "better surgery". Now who in their right mind would go "y
  12. Yep, or you can go for a BEST fittings QC conversion instead like ive done!
  13. You should be able to get a single shot for that money, ive seen a few on here in the past, but the pump action tends to usually be around 400quid upwards.
  14. For that money its a steal! No wonder it got snapped up so quick!
  15. Must be part of the job description for PE teachers as mine was exactly the same. Think he thought he was some sort of army instructor or something with the amount of shouting and bullying he gave the kids, and was always watching the lads in the shower. Would love to bump into him now.....
  16. My missus gets home from work about half 5 and I dont get in until gone 7, but shes quite lazy and spends most of the time on the sofa watching telly - so I usually end up doing the cooking (and washing up) (and cleaning.. lol). One of my best buys was a slow cooker from Tescos for a tenner the other year - i bung all sorts in that - curry, stew, rabbit, gammon, beef, anything really - leave it on 6 or 7 hours and hey presto instant dinner. Also love doing pies, spag bols, chilli, shepherds pie, lasagne. Find it all really easy to do and every now and then I try a new recipe from the old c
  17. Hmmm.. i just rest mine on the wing mirror, or on the door.
  18. Isnt the 302 quite an old gun now? I.e. came out before they introduced the 391 series? Ive the AL391... had it for donkeys years and its never missed a beat. They also hold their value incredibly well.
  19. All depends on the store. Ive not been to that shop before, although its just down the road from me by the looks of it. Some shops will let you try before you buy - I remember when I bought my Beretta 391 the gun shop happily let me take it away and try it at my local clay range over the weekend, before I went back the next week and bought it. Extremely trusting of them I thought. With regards to price.... some places will refuse to budge. Others will maybe knock a bit off. In general they price up guns with quite a high profit margin so they can afford to knock them down a bit. If its
  20. Im a jack of all trades really. Ive worked as a car mechanic, a landscaper, fitting kitchens / bathrooms, tiling, flooring, painter... currently working in an office behind a desk dealing with angry customers all day. Leave for work at about 8am and dont get home till 7.30pm, so by the time ive had tea I dont get much time to do much in the week - but at least im in the dry during the day. A couple of years back I was working 7am till 7pm doing labouring for 50quid a day in all weathers!
  21. MX5`s would be a fun cheap car. I was looking at them last week as I was considering getting a cheap convertible for the summer. You can pick up an MX5 with MOT, but needing some paintwork for £400 now. Thats cheap! I even saw one with good paintwork for £900. That leaves you a lot of change to modify. Whilst they are a bit of a hairdressers car, they are very popular with track day people as its a cheap way to get a RWD soft top sports car, and they are cheap to maintain. I actually had a bit of "fun" against a 61 plate TTRS when I had my 350z. We both came off a roundabout in 2nd ge
  22. Thats quite funny really! Turn up in a vx220 and she cant get her bag in! Insurance is a killer. Ive 20 years NCB, a clean license and live in a quiet cul-de-sac full of pensioners in the middle of nowhere - and my insurance company was still trying to charge me over a grand a year for my 350z. I was paying less than £200 a year for a Golf GTI at the time so it was a massive increase. They just try to bend you over at every opportunity. You lost £5K per year just on depreciation on a top spec model? Salesman saw you coming and you must crap fivers whilst wiping with twenties
