    one dig out of possibly hundreds of a terriers life is a very small price to pay .................even when a friend loans a dog with a few seasons ,.............they usually say wait till the dog gets too know you , start them on nice easy ones and build them up ( especially if they have had time off)...........and before you know it , the dog is back at its best and in fall swing.......... I don't give a shite what anyone says a dog needs confidence ,.... and confidence is gained with its new owner ,..............and that dog will know that sooner or later your breaking through.............

    You would also have to be fairly well deprived of a touch of nous to not realise that rabbit numbers may need to be brought under control before the crops have been planted,to wait until the crops are being eaten and then mounting an attack on the culprits smacks of naiveness and lack of any real understanding of the ways of the countryside.Obviously new permission gained later in the year,to control said problem,won,t fall into this category,yet in all honesty how many use this as an excuse to vindicate their actions. my understanding is that rabbits soon move in to empty warrens and s

    this is a prime example of what not to be doing ,.............surely you don't go digging on your own ,.............wouldn't you want to give it to a mate and see how it does ,.this is worth more than any money and it will prove that you love your chosen way of life...........but instead it proves you don't really care , for one the welfare of a true grafter and two ,for the greed of money...........I would get more of a buzz getting great feed back from a dog you have let a mate have and is doing well and when you can get out and have a dig to what use to be your own dog is great pleasure...

    it amazes me how thick people really are,......................wild animals hunt all year round ,........taking owned livestock, domestic and farmed ,...damaging fresh crops,........... if you think in this day and age that people will stand and do nothing to protect there livelihood then think again........and this time of year does see a lot of damage , feeding off spring and rabbit numbers increasing creating more damage.......its a tough time when man and animal have a lot to loose........you don't need to know about this type of thing, surely its just common sense to think logically....

    See that's the thing with these forums, folk get to know other folk who get to know others..... Ends up one big place where no one is willing to tell the truth about what they hear incase they upset a 'friend' so they have to use other usernames as a disguise to get digs in.     a lot of it is just common sense ,.you don't want to run a dog on a full stomach ,......prior to work , a few hours before I would give half a bowl of carbs for the night ,..........and I always got water in the van and some energy source in my pocket , when I remember.....lol then a quick rub down / wash (if they need it) and some quality grub............and if worked hard a day or two of rest / light walk.....and out again......it sounds so ideal when I write it on here , but in real life this is my intentions and most of the time this is how it is,.........but aslong as the dog looks ok ,
