    I agree with this statement..........smaller ones did struggle in the long grass and crops.....but the only problem then was they use to catch the deer led up in the long grass and not having fair law on them .........

    its ok for these dogs to catch deer preban but ,.........too define a good small dog they needed to be finished quick aswell............ no point catching them to suffer from clinging to the back legs or arse they needed throat holds and killed instantly...........I knew a few ,that would take them down from the back part and then transfer to the neck as to be expected from small dogs.........any good dog small or big needs to be finishing them instant other wise I don't class them as anything if the job only half done.....

    they shouldn't be going thin mate ,...........mine look very healthy with a big sack of milk on them....I feed meat at night and some mornings ,..now the kits are big the jills need a lot of food source to milk the kits........mine always get something morning and night ,........if I see a bit of meat left I just give them milk with egg......and usually all gone before next feed.......a for there eyes opening ,.nature will dictate that ,.mine are the same trying to get at food with there eyes shut until mother drags them back......

    I have a lot of respect for them as much as I liked to hunt them with dogs before our ban........I enjoy there company and even tho problem foxes might deservedly meet a bullet,...............the place would be doomed with out them.....

    now ive been doubting meself lately about the rabbit numbers local to me,.....................there everywhere and I keep thinking I say this every year but after a chat to a couple local dog walkers who ive known a few years have said the same,.............did the wet spell have an influence on this last year........I wonder.?........ anyway we have missed the dreaded mixy here for the last three years with numbers not usually being as high as normal so its been a good thing ,..............but with all the local bunnies now I reckon it will hit us this year around august ...........natures w
