    ok I see what your saying ,...firstly I apologise for my comment,........I mean you could say that about any colour dogs like white lakelands and any dog with the body structure of a Lakeland.........as for hardness , both patterdale and lakies can be very headstrong dogs ........all dogs being classed as breeds will all be different you get soft and hard and all shapes and sizes classed in some breeds ...........but a Lakeland to me is a very distinctive dog ,........with a distinctive body structure which I must say I like and there coat is distinctive and you can tell a lot of terriers wit

    what a stupid post..!!!!!!!! are you thick or what ,........If you cant tell the difference between a patterdale and a Lakeland I would be worried,...............how can they be the same dog,...... one thing I will say is you cant add much different blood to a Lakeland ,..........because there presence will look a lot different ,.........but you can add different blood to a patterdale and pretty much look the same..............

    when keepers shout ..............you have too jump,...........you got to show willing and respect that they shoot cubs and adult foxes through the summer , its there job............obviously trying to move cubs instead of culling is my priority but not everyones..............

    a great huntsmen needs to know each individual hound inside out and of coarse know the land (too date)...........he must have a plan of action for the days hunt and a change according too factors such as weather or farmer not wanting stock disturbed............he / she must be very co operative and let people know his plans for that day ,............and try and position followers in suitable positions such as roads or keeping an eye out for any antis.............obviously you would think with exspereince they should be getting better but it does make you wander sometimes..............they shou

    in army cadets the taught us how too kill with our bare hands,...............that was after we had a platoon trying to find us in the jungle with just our basic survival kit,.............as part of our sas training ............... then it was mostly war criminals we target over in afghan and Iraq ,...killing the wrong ones all the time and trying to come back too normality......the cadets I miss it..
